Re: Left channel quieter than the right - WTF?
And since the source is mp3, save it with as high a quality as possible (flac or wav), otherwise you'll just further decrease the audio quality. I know that, don't worry. All songs I've tried to salvage (and somewhat succeeded) were exported as WAV precisely with the idea to avoid further deteriora...

Left channel quieter than the right - WTF?
Does anyone have any idea how did they manage to accomplish that: left channel to be quieter than the right channel? Is there any way to have the left channel become with the same volume as the right channel (Audacity)? https://i.imgur.com/ew8dnek.png This song is very, very old, available only as m...

Re: Checking for clipping through CLI - inconsistencies
After a lot of experimenting, I think I finally learned how to fix clipping bc now formerly clipped tracks sound just like they should (loud and clear), only without the clipping. And so, I decided to give that problematic song another go (the one from the first post - Busta Rhymes & DJ Grind). ...

Re: What programs do you use to make music on Linux?
Maybe not too many are familiar with Music Maker, and anyway biggest question is, what kind of music you are making? Are you recording audio, making midi with mouse or recording midi with keyboard? I was using samples which I would simply arrange in this screen of the program https://i.imgur.com/Ad...

What programs do you use to make music on Linux?
Years ago I made my own music (purely amateurish) just for the fun of making it and I used MAGIX Music Maker. But that was long before I moved to Linux as a daily OS and MAGIX is a Windows program. Ever since I moved to Linux, I stopped making my own music bc I was told there was no native software ...

Re: Checking for clipping through CLI - inconsistencies
If I could buy it (on an audio CD, I don't have a record player nor I like vynils), I would have. But I heard contradicting reviews about the only site where that CD is available (discogs.com) + the price isn't for my pocket. On top of that at some point there was an inscription "we don't deliv...

Re: Checking for clipping through CLI - inconsistencies
This song is a mission impossible! I tried everything, including reducing the Bass to -20 and it still clips...
If you want I can upload it somewhere, so that one of you tries their magic, cuz I'm totally out of ideas what else to try.

Re: Checking for clipping through CLI - inconsistencies
I had never heard of True Peak (until now). If I'm reading this right, this song is flooded with clipping.

Checking for clipping through CLI - inconsistencies
Hi, everyone. I'm not a musician but you could say I'm an audiophile cuz I want everything to be in the highest possible quality. Recently I noticed some of my music has clipping, so using Audacity I fixed them (some of them even became perfect, as if there was never any clipping). But I wanna check...
