Hmmm. Maybe I should have bought one. In Europe via Thomann or Musicstore.de it's not for sale anymore. Bummer. :(

Sometimes it helps to delete everything in the directory ~/.config/pulse/ and try again.

Re: What are you currently reading?

Almost finished Stephen King - You Like It Darker. A collection of stories. Not nearly as good a collection as Everything's Eventual or Just After Sunset (to name but a few), but still contains a few great stories nonetheless. The novella length Danny Coughlin's Bad Dream is definitely the winner.

Re: Alsa Midi port name ambiguity trouble

I've just ran into this with a Keystation 88 Mk3 on Debian testing. The app I'm trying to connect to doesn't display MIDI in ports in qpwgraph so I assume it's not using JACK for MIDI. Does anyone know if this issue is being worked on by the ALSA people? Not that I know of. I have tried to find (co...

Another way is you record the midi track to a drum track in MusE.

You can convert existing midi tracks to drumtracks too.

Re: Split Midi-file poly to mono

MusE has an "export selected visible tracks to midi file" option. I need to split the polyphonic midi-notes to multiple monophonic midi-tracks, Sounds complicated to automate such a thing. How to decide which notes will be sent to which track? Regardless, googling "split polyphonic m...

I use linux version of Reaper...

That's the idea. Preceding the Reaper executable with "WINEPREFIX=/path" just sets the environment variable WINEPREFIX to /path. You'll not run anything with wine.

Re: How to choose what wine prefix to use with Carla?

Running your DAW with
WINEPREFIX=/path/to/prefix /path/to/dawexecutable
doesn't work?

Or, use yabridge

"It is also possible to use yabridge with multiple Wine prefixes at the same time."

Re: Program to send/receive sysex (also as .MID file)

Tested briefly. Looks good and runs under Linux. But I can't find a way to set the delay to 500. Maybe it's possible to intercept the sysex commands and write them to a text file, then use: "In between commands, timestamps can be added in the format: HH:MM:SS.MIL, standing for hours, minutes, ...
