100% Yoshimi... As usual

Nice piece! Sounds more 'ethereal' than 'oppressive' to me though!

Re: Midi controller for No Budget Orchestra

So that's where I create my NoBudget folder with all the wave files. I definitely don't install to /root/NoBudget. But given the logic of my script, if you log in as administrator, and then tell my script to do a "local install", then I can see how that would happen. If I run the install ...

Re: Fluidsynth Not Shutting Down

~$ pkill fluidsynth is not working? If it does, you could consider starting/stopping QSynth with a script with that line in it. I don't use QSynth, but this is my script to start/stop fluidsynth: #!/bin/bash if pgrep fluidsynth 2>/dev/null; then pkill fluidsynth else fluidsynth --server --no-shell ...

Bot members have birthdays too?

Look at that, under Birthdays:

Congratulations to: 456apex (28), 01cushion (28), 321a2dy (28), 789criminal (28), 678track (28)

Highly suspicious, not?

Just something I noticed

Bots, Feedfetchers and Spiders seem to make up the bulk of logged-in members at any single time.

successful seems right, yes, lol
and it seems success is something you have or you dont but you wont talk about it - neverrrRRRRrrrrr

Well, as long as making money in the music business is not something I desire, I'm at least not necessarily unsuccessful.

Maybe next week, if I have free time, I'll do a remix with a different panning option.

You definitely should, imho. An off-center balance can be rather unpleasant on headphones. Especially for people with compromised hearing in the other ear :(

Re: The Fourth Offering: a miniature soundscape

Newsflash: So, after listening almost non-stop for two days, I came up with only two minor tweaks: I made the xylophone (which has a very fast calf delay and a bit of reverb to spice it up) more audible, and I deleted an out-of-place ride hit at the very end. I also took advantage of the situation t...

Re: help with the installation :(

Or simply use the plugin version?

I often just extract the lv2 or the .so vst from an installer of a plugin to throw into my plugin folder. This does not always work though: sometimes I do need to install it properly.

PS: you can get a lot of plugins from https://kx.studio/Repositories:Plugins

ps: lol, what a coincidence, the auto correction here does not know the word successfull - is this a sign?

It's successful with a single l :)

Re: How do YOU decide when a song's finished?

When you think is a song is 'finished' or ready to be released (which is more how I think of it), leave it alone and don't listen to it at all (not even once) for a few weeks or even more if you can wait longer. I know I should. But that requires an amount of restraint I currently lack! I made &quo...

Re: Looking for critique

The kick sounds fine to me. There's -something- jarring in the percussion though. Overly compressed maybe? (I'm just guessing here). Nice melody and rhythm.
