Re: FCB1010 Bank changes in Guitarix
That is the only way to know for sure as far as I know. If it is not the UNO chip, then you could start over by resetting and going through it again. If you have a used board there may be an issue with it, so try setting up 6-10 first and see if they are actually taking the commands. Then at least y...

Re: FCB1010 Bank changes in Guitarix
Hi Mark, Thanks for the thanks! I did not run into that issue when I was figuring this out but this is how I would go about trying to fix it. 1, Ensure you have the right chip for the FCB, I don't think the UNO chips work correctly with the Mt Utilis. If chip is good, compare pedal 6 with pedal 5 in...

Question on initial recording
Wondering how most people create a song in their DAW. Do you record straight into the DAW with no effects or EQ, compression, limiter etc., or do you record through a a device that can add some effects and EQ to the signal before the track is recorded? I have been just going straight from my audio i...

FCB1010 Bank changes in Guitarix
You should be able to follow along and by the end easily change banks in Guitarix with the FCB1010 pedals. This is probably a lot longer than it needs to be, but for me, it is not enough to know how, I like to be able to "see" what is happening. I have never used MIDI before so it took awh...

Re: Basic drum track
Thank you all for replying, all the responses were helpful. Imposter, you are a true humanitarian for releasing those under the CC :) Also, your simple layout actually does help. The technoid beat, took me awhile to even be able to say it correctly and also funny. Saying there is no golden pattern h...

Basic drum track
Hello, I am not a seasoned musician, I play a little guitar and have never been serious about even that. I have recently been playing with Ardour for mixing and mastering and I can lay down all instruments that I want, except one, drums. I have never played drums and never really paid attention to d...

Re: AV Linux MX-21 Edition Released!
Thank you, I found it, simply double click on the plugin. When something is difficult and you can't figure it out, it must be something simple. Now on to linking the Ardour virtual keyboard to the drum plugin. Really like this AV Linux, thank you for all of your hard work to maintain this distro.

Re: AV Linux MX-21 Edition Released!
Sorry, should have put the link up, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4idMZTxTaY8 I am building a laptop for a musician friend in Alaska and installed AV Linux in a KVM and really liked it. So I am dual booting the laptop with UbuntuStudio and AV Linux, I think he will like the latter better, and ship...

Re: AV Linux MX-21 Edition Released!
One other question, how do you get the picture of the drums on the screen to show which drum you are hitting, like I saw in the video?

Re: Do any serious music enthusiasts use Linux?
Do any serious music enthusiasts use Linux? Absolutely. It's just another platform and the underlying OS is rock solid. Is it mainstream, obviously not, but if you want to mix and master within Linux it is entirely possible as you can with any other OS. Can you make it sound like the songs you hear ...
