Re: Focusrite Scarlett Gen 3 4i4 (and others)
It now works with the driver enabled! I had to use a different usb port to make the driver work. with the driver disabled it still worked with pulseaudio and jack. With the driver enabled I launched jack and found that my previous configuration had to change. It doesn't work with 2 periods, so I swi...

Re: Focusrite Scarlett Gen 3 4i4 (and others)
Hi there, I just got my 4i4 3rd gen today and it does work OOTB but not with the driver enabled via options snd_usb_audio vid=0x1235 pid=0x8212 device_setup=1 dmesg shows everything setup correctly but aplay, alsamixer, pulseaudio and alsa-scarlett-gui can't see the device. Without the modprobe conf...

Re: Suggestion: Compile Option for No GUI
 sad news, indeed. i thought about the possibility of "injecting" the settings as well. i'm using carla and it generates an xml file with all plugin states and i never even have to launch the drumgizmo gui. i'll ask falktx about how the plugin states are saved in a mod pedalboard pres...

Re: Suggestion: Compile Option for No GUI
Sorry to revive this thread, but I would like to see a no_gui option for the lv2 plugin as well. I try to compile drumgizmo for the mod dwarf, which needs a headless build option. My question is how hard it would theoretically be to make such an option available and which steps would be needed. I gu...

Re: Compiling (from latest git source) on Manjaro...
sorry for reviving this thread, but I'm facing the same issue. I can't build locally anymore, but with github workflows autogen.sh runs fine on ubuntu 20.04 with autoconf 2.69. Manjaro and ubuntu 22.04 won't let me build.
Is there any progress on this issue?

Re: DGPatchMaker, a graphical tool for creating DrumGizmo patches from sample libraries
Stumbled to here, but unfortunately those dropbox links for DrumGizmo kits are not available anymore. Anybody having them in some permanently available url?
I have the same question. Would be nice if somebody still had them
cheers, nils

Re: my youtube channel made with open source exclusively
That Jazz drumkit is really smooth! I see you've linked to it, but I only see a Hydrogen drumkit in there, while you mentioned using DrumGizmo in one of your videos. Did you create a DrumGizmo configuration out of the samples yourself? yes, I made one with the help of a script. I posted about it he...

my youtube channel made with open source exclusively
Hi!
I made a youtube channel using linux and open source tools exclusively.
The video descriptions show the software and hardware used.
Have fun!

Re: JazzFunkKit - orangetree samples conversion for drumgizmo
hi peter, i actually used your tool genDrumkit on the set of samples from the original website :) thanks for that! i just upsampled the samples and changed the samplerate in the xml file. furthermore i made a midi mapping for my novation launchpad controller which might be useless because there is a...

Re: enhance midimap by CC to note feature
Are you sure it is in develop? Are you talking about triggering notes with CC data or just notes? Because my patch triggers samples by CC, therefore I named the new entry "CCmap" which takes a CC and a note and simply maps them. You can specify many notes with the same CC and they'll be tr...

Re: enhance midimap by CC to note feature
You could do that also by using qmidiroute to map that CC to note. Yes, I know because I was using something similar (x42 MidiCCToNote) before. But since drumgizmo already features a midimap which itself could be externalized by using a plugin instead I figured being less dependent on external stuf...

JazzFunkKit - orangetree samples conversion for drumgizmo
Hi everybody, I made the simply awesome JazzFunkKit ( https://www.orangetreesamples.com/blog/free-jazz-funk-drum-sample-library ) available for drumgizmo. Is it ok to just release this publicly? I upsampled the .wav files to 48kHz and I don't know if there is a licensing issue now since I changed th...

enhance midimap by CC to note feature
Hi everybody, I recently started using drumgizmo for live fingerdrumming and I'm already a convert ;) Before I was using hydrogen but found it to be overkill for just playing back a few samples. I really like the design of drumgizmo's midimap but I was missing a feature that would map a CC number to...
