Your description sound like it's Synthwave he's talking about - for typical Synthwave it's Linndrum, Yamaha RX5, Roland 606 etc etc samples you'll need - Hydrogen has some decent kits for that.

All we can do is keep providing feedback etc. Developers need to know that there is 'something' there that makes it worthwhile for them, whether that be money (ultimately) or something that helps them keep developing their code.
