One hacky way would be running the WinVST version inside Carla.

I have another recipe for hats, claps and snares: Airwindows Beam with a lot of EQ and Calf Transient Designer.

Re: Suggestions for sync MIDI app with Ardour and share workflow
Hi @digitsun,
a simple solution that comes to mind is editing MIDI in Qtractor and then importing the MIDI tracks in Ardour.

Re: Album written in Ruby
I liked it.
It's also a good showcase of different genres made with this technique.
I wonder how much effort it requires to achieve that.

Re: Dj controller with jack and pulseaudio
Zikmaf , your Mixxx settings for ALSA look correct. As already suggested by sunrat you have to check your soundcard ALSA volume, but the screenshot you posted shows you are watching the device that PulseAudio create in ALSA (where there is only a Master fader, I guess) and not your soundcard. You h...

Some plugin suggestions i collected until now about making drums sounds:

- Calf Transient Designer (attack, snappiness, good for kick, snares, hats)
- GxTape (add noise)
- B.Shapr (envelope)

Re: LV2 X11 GUI generator/designer tool
This is a very cool project @tramp!
I'm not a programmer but i see how this could improve design and speed up development of plugins.
Totally unrelated: Do you ever thought about making a simple oscilloscope plugin?

Re: Libre Music Challenge #8 : Back In Time (90's edition) : Smiley and Bass !
Using a monosynth only is for getting the 1.33 multiplier bonus on score: All music must be made using only FLOSS/Libre audio software . At least 1 lead and the bass line must be made from one FLOSS mono synth plugin (like LamaBass , NEKOBI or CALF Monosynth). Kudos if your track is made using this ...

Re: Dj controller with jack and pulseaudio
Hi Zikmaf , your problem is not clear to me. Are you not getting any sound with JACK and ALSA? Can you post a screenshot of your soundcard preferences in Mixxx? You can also use Mixxx with Pulseaudio (not great performance, but if you don't need low latency ... ), just launch Mixxx from terminal and...

Re: How to get started?
We are talking about every soundcard with audio inputs. Obviously you need the right cables to connect your keyboard to your soundcard.
I doubt there are many laptops with a audio input except the microphone one.

Re: How to get started?
Hi cdysthe , if you want to use your keyboards as MIDI controllers just be sure to understand how MIDI routing works inside Ardour, configure it right, add a track with a plugin (like a synth or a soundfont) and begin playing/recording. I would start from checking the configuration: https://manual.a...
