Re: qjackctl, PD, and MIDI driver

Hi ZestieBumwhig , I think i forgot something in my example. The correct one should be: pd -alsamidi -midiindev 1 -midioutdev 1 As I said i disabled ALSA MIDI e ALSA SEQ in Qjackctl, with this example command PD will create one ALSA Midi input and one ALSA Midi output that will be then export...

Re: Tenaba - ragequit

Powerful sound, but right now it feels is lacking something.
I would love to hear an @oscillator take on it. :D

Re: How to block midi data?

You should be able to achieve that with MIDI filters, but is not clear to me how you are doing the routing, are you sending notes or MIDI CCs?

Re: qjackctl, PD, and MIDI driver

Hi ZestieBumwhig , I have a similar setup. You won't need ALSA seq if you want to use JACK MIDI and you are already exporting ALSA MIDI ports in JACK with a2jmidid. I set ALSA midi to none, and disable the ALSA sequencer. On the PD MIDI ports not showing: could be you have to specify them when you l...

Re: Helm: distinguish channels on midi learn

I don't know if it is possible, i guess Helm is listening an all channels. One way to achieve what you want is to use MIDI filters ( https://x42-plugins.com/x42/x42-midifilter ) and remap incoming MIDI cc on different channel to different MIDI cc numbers on the same channel. Let's say for example: C...

Re: Hi everyone

Speaking of my experience I'm kinda born into it. When I started, in the 90s, (trying) making music with my PC there were 2 main paths: Tracker way MIDI way The first one was available at 0 money budget, the second way was quite expensive (SW and HW). Also the fact i discovered the demoscene and the...

Re: Libre Music Challenge #8 : Back In Time (90's edition) : Smiley and Bass !

Here's my submission: LAM - Sagen 33 I started with Zrythm, but after some "little problems" I decided to go with Ardour. This is my first track after 20 years of inactivity in the music production side, also the first track made on Linux and completely FOSS. :D I did everything with Nekob...
