Re: PipeWire and a2jmidid?

It's not needed. If you open qpwgraph, you should see sections called Midi-Bridge with all the Jack midi ports

Re: Pipewire with Firewire?

Pipewire does work with firewire. I have a few issues, most notable is that monitoring an audio input introduces an audible latency. With certain programs, audio monitoring takes a couple of restarts to start working. So I route that to my onboard sound chip and it's fine or I can use the hardware's...

Yeah, I am sure they would appreciate that  I was speaking hypothetically, I don't use it either.

Re: My free pianos 2.1 release, plus Estonia

Good, I remember old versions using samples. So, no copyright infringment, probably just EULA violation then, if today's EULA still has: "Sound produced by Pianoteq can only be distributed within a musical context, and not in forms that allow the sounds to be used as sample based instruments o...

Re: My free pianos 2.1 release, plus Estonia

Pianoteq is not a sample based instrument, so there is no infringement of copyright.

Re: Continuing the jack/pipewire debate...

From the linked interview: We’ve also recently started implementing the last missing pieces of JACK, which is NETJACK2 support and a firewire audio driver called FFADO. The FFADO support likely needs some more work because we have not been able to actually test this because we don’t have the hardwar...

Re: Absent friends....?

In last weeks when he was in board, he somehow started to focus much on artix_linux_user who had many annoying posts, and jeffg also made few new threads which were only harrassing artix. Jeffg started to act like 'who will be more stupid/annoying person on the forum' contest participant, and those...

Re: Absent friends....?

He's a classic internet "know it all" bully. The pipewire thread is a good example of how, he has written essay length criticisms of something to the developer when he hadn't even used the thing. If he is questioned, he will try to get personal , even demanding to know people's nationaliti...

Re: Melonix

If this works like melodyne, that's something badly needed with this platform. The thing is who has the time to pick up and continue on with it? I wish I knew how to do what the devs do. It'd be cheaper, easier and more pleasurable to either learn how to sing or collaborate with someone who knows h...

Re: [ANN] qpwgraph v0.6.0 - An Autumn'23 Release

As an idea, the Raysession graph condenses the multiple outputs into one node and you can fold them with an arrow in the corner leaving just two connection lines visible.

Re: [ANN] qpwgraph v0.6.0 - An Autumn'23 Release

Although, the connections view does fold duplicate entries from firefox at least.
