Re: Essential Linux plugins? (Mainly looking for SFZ & SoundFont players).
It seems curious to me you wish to avoid using Wine for plugins yet use it for FL Studio. Whatever works for you is OK though. I'm still grappling with the basics of MIDI based music with Qtractor. Zrythm looks promising so plan to check it out soon. Several people on this forum use Bitwig Studio an...

Re: Essential Linux plugins? (Mainly looking for SFZ & SoundFont players).
Which folders did you put them in? I installed the dragonfly-reverb package from KX repos and they are in /usr/lib/vst and /usr/lib/lv2 where Qtractor detects both versions. I have found some lv2 plugins are not detected if placed in ~/.lv2 although I have been led to believe they should be, but vst...

Connect pulseaudio-jack-sink to carla
I'm running a room correction eq, currently EQ6QS although will probably switch to LSP soon, through Carla which works fine. Problem is I also load pulseaudio-jack-sink which connects itself directly to system out 1 & 2 when it loads and also connects to eq6qs via a saved QJackctl patchbay which...

Re: Standard test needed to benchmark XRUNs
The test I used in the other topic we were just discussing took mine slowly up to 99.35%:
I didn't try the "Stress test", sounds scary:

Re: Dj controller with jack and pulseaudio
Installing Qasmixer should have also installed Qashctl. Open that and press F6 to show the individual hardware controls. One of them is hw:Card, when you select that a list of other controls will show in the left column of which one should be the one you need to raise. Also make sure it's not muted.

Re: Dj controller with jack and pulseaudio
Maybe your ALSA volume levels are down or muted. Install the alsa-utils package and check them with alsamixer, or qasmixer if you prefer a GUI mixer.

Re: How to run rtirq script when login to my pc?
A bit later - the results of that ps/grep command are vastly different when booted with threadirqs so I guess it needs to be added to kernel line in /etc/default/grub to be active. I'm not sure how much effect it will have or how to measure it. I also just disabled Intel C-States before this and got...

Re: How to run rtirq script when login to my pc?
Did some quick research and if CONFIG_IRQ_FORCED_THREADING_DEFAULT is set to y then you don't need threadirqs . This might be a bit different for Liquorix kernels though as they seem to use their own config setting for this, FORCE_IRQ_THREADING . If the latter is set to y then you shouldn't need th...

Re: Dj controller with jack and pulseaudio
Maybe you need to install an ALSA > JACK MIDI bridge like a2jmidid and load it before plugging in your controller.

Re: How to run rtirq script when login to my pc?
No problem! And if things still don't start up at login don't hesitate to post! Also, with a real-time kernel you don't need the threadirqs option. A related question I've been meaning to ask for ages: is threadirqs kernel parameter needed for a low-latency kernel with PREEMPT eg. Liquorix? $ grep ...

$ grep -e "CONFIG_IRQ_FORCED_THREADING=y" -e "CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT=y" /boot/config-`uname -r` CONFIG_IRQ_FORCED_THREADING=y Although after applying that change it doesn't add the `"CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT=y "` flag. So guess it wasn't that and makes sense it doesn't enable as I...

Re: Does anybody have a guide for routing plugins through Pulseaudio?
Basically, no. I followed that guide some time ago and got the SWH Compressor working as a Pulse module. Configuration must be done in text, afaik GUI is not supported. I ended running JACK with Carla hosting a parametric EQ for room correction and I know of no easier way to run plugins like LSP sys...
