Re: Symphony of love illusive
Great work in traditional classical style! Thanks you @psyocean ! Do you live in ancient city with palaces and cathedrals? ... Ha, I wish! :) My city had been there when Beethoven was alive, but it only sports one barely mentionable church. The rest is boring shading to quite ugly. :) Thanks for th...

Re: a Thriller à la miami vice lol :D
Great mix, nice, crisp sounds. I would have preferred the radio edit though.
But that's just me, having no patience.

Re: Symphony of love illusive
Thanks @milo and @sunrat for taking the time and for the kind feedback. Sunrat, I will upload the symphony to my website in a few days, so perhaps that is a better place to grab the audio. I don't understand youtube though, I did create a playlist, but I couldn't find the URL nor could I find it by ...

Re: Symphony of love illusive
Thank you @matterisvoid , @Largos and @troathscream . I'm glad you enjoyed it. A friend of mine, who is classically trained, apart from her apparent enjoyment, laughingly called it "a slap in the face of the habitual symphonic listener". :) I think she was referring to my constant disregar...

Re: Dreams of Seagulls - Listen to the Silence (epic pop w/ video)
Wow, I love the sound textures in this. The intro in particular did give me goose flesh. I had a feeling that the main pad could have used a little more cutting of the low frequencies, maybe only in the reverb. In the sections without drums and bass it works very well like it is, but when the other ...

Symphony of love illusive
Hey hey, the symphony of love illusive is finally done. :) A big thanks to @Rainmak3r for unintentionally giving me the motivation with his orchestral pieces. The symphony is quietly dedicated to a very dear friend. First here are the movements: 1. Allegro (Fantasia - maybe): https://youtu.be/BC2Rui...

Re: track update "The Breeze of The Isles"
Very nice electro sound. The snare is a bit soft and in the background. It adds a different flavour though. I'm not usually a fan of auto tune, but it fits!

Re: Botchin Bach (TD-3 programming)
... I recorded directly into Ardour. I did put some room-sized reverb on the master bus -- glad to hear it was noticable. There's also a very slow phaser (Calf Phaser) on the master bus -- mod rate turned way down to 0.01Hz. It was all well matched and the meatiness must be the TD-3 itself then. No...

Re: Black Eyed Goddess
I like the song too. I don't have as many metal references, but it does remind me of a few things from the 90s. I liked the touch with the talkbox effect! The snare sounds rather odd though, as if it was recorded from speakers or in a different room entirely. So did the solo in the intro. The basic ...

This is wonderful! Well written, played and recorded. The drums sound very good. It gives the whole production a quite modern feel. A great song!

Re: Botchin Bach (TD-3 programming)
This is great fun!
Did you record the TD-3 straight into the soundcard? There is a certain bassy, meaty quality to it, that reminds me of good monitors recorded in a room or even a small PA.

Re: Dark Mist
Such lovely sounds! Especially the "lead" in the intro section. did you process the recording afterwards? If not I can only say that Yoshimi performances can sound very record-ready.

Not that innocent
Hey hey, this is far from new, but it being one of the first pieces on my youtube channel, if not the first, and it fitting so well in the collection of instrumentals, that shouldn't drown, I'd like to introduce: Not that innocent (again): https://youtu.be/1S6ajj0L9YI The image was made in POV-Ray b...

Thanks for sharing this lively track. Lively in its movement of timbre, space and filtering. The effects were nice. Occasionally, I almost got confused by the slight rhythm changes: well done!

Re: Sharp
Sounds great! I like that there's a lot of depths in the track (Tiefenstaffelung). Thanks @lilith ! Maybe a bit more bass? Yes, I was wondering. There are many bass layers, but they could use some adjustment in the mix or a touch of bass-boost on the main bus. I'll keep that in mind, when I reopen ...
