Re: Rest In Peace (sad ballad)
Hey @Rainmak3r , many thanks for the comments. It's funny, I would have put this opinion the other way around. I guess there's no accounting for taste. I never found candle in the wind particularly sad. Maybe my baroque turn of mind. Well, in the end it doesn't matter what I oppine about music, not ...

Re: Rest In Peace (sad ballad)
Thanks for still commenting Will. I sympathise with your perspective. I was shocked when I read the news. Quite incredulous for a moment, though I can hardly claim that her presence was as immediate and significant to me as it would be to anyone from the UK.

Re: Rest In Peace (sad ballad)
Many thanks @Basslint ! I thought I'd done something very wrong with this track. I know the mixing is particular to say the least. I was purposefully going for an old taken aback sound with this. Thanks for your very warm words. I think you might also like what's coming up. Not as 70s inspired as th...

Rest In Peace (sad ballad)
Hey hey, this is Rest In Peace: https://youtu.be/h_BIv0tBEAg I had recorded and finished the song on Wednesday and Thursday, still unsure about the title. As I put it to rest I went over to the BBC radio website and saw the news about the death of queen Elizabeth. Thus by sad accident the song found...

Re: DubKa
Hey hey, I enjoyed the chaotic element of that, quite avangard playing in two keys at once. :) The bass is massive, but from an audiophile point of view the mix is sometimes a little too unbalanced. The bass overshadows everything else and pumps. I know this can be desireable, though a little more &...

Re: Seqs in the city
I love the metre changes and the polymetric rhythms as well as the sound choices. Most of the track has a very timeless flair.

Re: Cissy Strut Live
Hi @merlyn , I agree this is brilliant. I didn't know it was a cover. I love the synth sound. Did you use a guitar synth for that? Great song and great playing!

Re: First thing in Linux
Hi @befed , so you'd like to get in at the deep end. At least by arrangement. Good start. Now, where's the rest of this song? Will we hear it?

Re: my youtube channel made with open source exclusively
Oh thanks! Especially for the sax track! I felt immediately reminded of saxophonist Eddie Harris, whom I have always loved. Having very warm feelings! Also the track has a good vibe. The only criticism: why so short???

Re: Ardour&VOCALOID
It's a great track, well written and performed. But this particular voice sounds rather synthetic, which in itself creates a great tension between the oddly metred, organic song with all the other live-sounding instruments. Thanks for sharing! And where I'm concerned: who absolutely needs a translat...

Re: Bridal Ballad
Great work with the declaration. Being a sound fetishist, even I didn't particularly take umbridge at the GM sounds.
If that doesn't spell excellent composition, I don't know what does.
Simple, but expressive, spartan yet powerful! Thanks for sharing!

Re: Title track of my new bandcamp album
100% YOshimi? I expected nothing less of you. Even knowing it a priori, you still manage to impress and surprise me. The kick and bass sound so real! I love the new sonic signature. Yes, there are some old favourites, but the very vibrato friendly leads, the phasey one after that and the hammond-org...

Re: Tenaba - Paralyzed by Fear [Solaria]
Hi @Tenaba , oh it's always good to hear your tracks. I very much enjoyed this one again! On a sonic level: agreed Solaria is a good voice, though you always managed to discover and accentuate the best in Eleanor Forte. Further, you have a smashing modern drum sound on this. The kick is ... erm... K...
