Re: Ultralite AVB
Drumfix I think you're right but they said they've changed the way to use the usb because of an Apple's change, so probably we have to ask directly to Apple... I also think it will be a good idea if you and shellwalker can talk directly with Dylan. I'm not an expert in programming stuff, I already ...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Dylan: The latency is something I can also look at here, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. However, at least one version of this test should be fairly straightforward even without an analog input source just by using the router in the UltraLiteAVB to loop the USB Output channels back to the US...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Dylan: I spent a little time reading through Drumfix's driver. It has the right idea doing implicit feedback and batch submitting some transfers at startup. However, and I say this without having tested it myself so I might be barking up the wrong tree, but I suspect the issue is similar to the one ...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Dylan: "Hmm, it would be good to locate the “MOTU Patch” log in dmesg to confirm the patch is there. The log will be emitted when an audio stream is started, so usually what I do is watch dmesg while I start playback using “sudo dmesg -w”.The following command will add a lot of useful debugging...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Dylan from Motu: "No problem! - I am not opposed to sharing the patch with others, with the caveat that it isn't a completely tested solution, and I welcome their feedback. For more detailed information, the reason that older firmware's worked, was that we used to support a USB synchronization ...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Hi shellwalker and hi baptiste , Yeah I think it's a great possibility! I'll ask to Dylan if i can share the patch with the community or a little testing team. What do you think about how a testing-paper should be in this case? System and OS info, behavior with ALSA, Jack, Pulse, Pipewire, working o...

... This way, no channel hopping but after 60 minutes more or less the sound is corrupted and i need to restart jack or alsa to have a good sound again. This is yet another occasion of " Look! I've solved it! It works now.....errrr...Wait, no it isn't working after all". :D That just conf...

Re: Ultralite AVB
GOOD NEWS: I've written a mail to Motu and they seems to be interested in creating a driver/patch. In the next two or three days I'll test it on my interfaces and send them back a feedback.

curl --data 'json={"value":"USB2"}' IPOFYOURDEVICE/datastore/host/mode I think this command should be done at every restart of the system. This way, no channel hopping but after 60 minutes more or less the sound is corrupted and i need to restart jack or alsa to have a good sound...
