Re: Help me get back to a functional DAW (Xruns Galore)

Hehe, in my humble opinion: Pulse Audio is CRAP! πŸ‘Ž

That's why I'm running my OS completely without Pulse Audio. Only ALSA and JACK. πŸ‘

Only having one single Xrun directly after a heavy song is loaded into the DAW. :D

Re: How to use Carla and Windows VST Plugins?

Thanks for the help. When running Carla from terminal there's no output of missing stuff, so all seems to be well. Drag'n'drop .dll or converted .so files gives error messages about initialization of plugin failed. I'll give up on this, as I don't need it for real. I just was curious if I could get ...

Re: How to use Carla and Windows VST Plugins?

I have updated and installed everything of Carla from KX repository. The win briges 32 and 64 are also installed. Even though, I don't get the list of available tools like in your screenshot. :( Also nothing to choose like Windows 32bit and 64bit. :( All DLLs converted by linvst. Path to the DLLs ar...

(Solved now) How to use Carla and Windows VST Plugins?

Hi.

I never used Windows VST Plugins in a Linux environment.

I have Wine installed, though, Carla won't add Windows VST plugins per drag'n'drop.
It won't even find them after refreshing the list of VST plugins.

Any help available?

Thanks in advance, RSH

Re: Name one song 40 years old, and you never get tired of listening

Thanks! :) I always was wondering how the people in the comment sections at YouTube videos do their multiple emojis, since there is no list of emojis to select from like this forum has it. Now, that's the clue, it seems. So, I need to store this under my bookmarks. Never heard of emojipedia.org. Aga...

Radio stations in Germany are filled up with songs being overplayed.
It's their daily business to play songs being overplayed.

Re: Looking for songs

At YouTube you should search for - Skyrim Ambience Music - Epische Musik - Kampfmusik This will bring up lots of stuff similar to "Strength of a Thousand Men"! I like this kind of music also as it's similar to orchestral/instrumental music which I like most! By the way: why do you "ne...

Re: Intrumental Music

Well, it's not Final Fantasy or Movie Sound Track. Though, at YouTube you should look out for - Hedvig Mollestad Trio - Mohini Dey - Senri Kawaguchi and Triangle - Steve Orchad - A. R. Rahman or something more similar to Movie Sound Track - Skyrim Ambience Music - Ambient Study Music - Epische Musik...

Re: What is your favorite female vocalist?

I would "vote" for Tory Amos and Kate Bush.
However, I like instrumental music most of all.
It's the best music at all!

As soon as there's a vocalist involved, the music turns out to be mostly trivial!

Re: No sound with Ubuntu Studio

I had a Dell Desktop computer once also. Everything worked well, except sound. At least I could get ALSA-Player work to listen to some music. JACK audio didn't work at all, even though the sound card was recognized. Dell sucks! Them are using modified hardware like main boards and stuff etc.pp. to m...
