Re: First Linux DAW

Thanks for the explanations. I was used to use also Sequencer as for programs like Qtractor etc. But the more I read DAW when such program was in talk, it changed my understanding. However, my OS has some specific menu categories. All programs similar to Qtractor etc. are placed into category Sequen...

Re: First Linux DAW

I'm a little bit confused. :?

Isn't DAW used for the program to record/edit Audio and MIDI?
I understand DAW as for programs like Ardour, Qtractor, Reaper etc.pp.

By reading your topic I understand you're trying to build your first Audio/MIDI Recording Operating System.

Re: The Seventh Wise Man

I tried Dailymotion right now and uploaded a video successfully.
It took a few minutes until I could see it in my channel's library.
Seems to be easy to use, so far.
Though, I might try some others as well before deciding which one to use.

Re: The Seventh Wise Man

I can't see it because I don't own a personal Google account  Yes, that's exactly what I feared. So, no one without a Google or YouTube account can watch my videos anymore. Meanwhile I tried LBRY as an alternative to YouTube, though its much too complicated for newbies. Next I'm going to try D...

Re: The Seventh Wise Man

What I don't understand is: all my videos have been defined as "not made for kids". Some months ago there was a need to define videos being "made for kids" or being "not made for kids". So, I defined them as "not made for kids" already. As far as I know, kids ...

Re: The Seventh Wise Man

I'm just telling about it, as there's probably one or two subscribers from this forum. Just looking at the views it seems there's some people listening to my music. But looking at the statistics offers another picture. And the statistics no one can see - except me. For lifetime my videos do have an ...

The Seventh Wise Man

Hi. The Seventh Wise Man This is a song which is already published on YouTube for around 3 years by now. It has gained 80 views in three years, so nobody ever was interested into the video, the song and the message. Yesterday I received a mail from YouTube about a user's complain and review by YouTu...

Re: Qtractor - autofocus plugins GUI on track select

Thanks. Already got all of them installed into my OS. They are from 0.9.4 until 0.9.10. So far I had used drumkv1 for some works mainly. I downloaded the 0.9.17 AppImages first to find out if the new versions would work on my OS. All are working out of the box. 👍 So, I downloaded the source codes al...

Re: Rythm Ideas

Hallo.

Re: Qtractor - autofocus plugins GUI on track select

...more than one instrument plugin (yes, you can do that in qtractor, no sweat)... Several Instruments? No! Several plugins yes. Lets say I have Calf Fluidsynth in track 1. As soon as I'm adding e.g. another synth like ZynAddSubFx there will be no sound from the Calf Fluidsynth anymore. Only sounds...

Re: qjackctl WON'T START

Under the first tab of QJackCtl you can choose a sound card as default to use.
Most of the time this will work immediately.
But you can also choose under the last tab a specific sound card for input and output separately.

Did you try any of these options?

Re: Do you find it hard to work on more than one recording at a time?

It's dependent on my inspiration. Usually I work on one song at a time. But I had also times when inspiration is overwhelming myself. Last time this was in December 2019, when I worked on 13 Songs in 14 days. Each new idea came to me when the the previous one song wasn't finished then. I finished th...
