Re: Low latency kernel for Debian 7?

Hi.

In the Debian repositories you have the meta-package linux-image-rt-amd64 that will install you a RT kernel.

Another possibiliy is to install the package linux-image-realtime from the Tango Studio repositories.

This is off-topic, but for the people who mentionned the lack of Steam support on Debian :
Wheezy : https://github.com/GhostSquad57/Steam-I ... for-Wheezy
Jessie : http://packages.debian.org/jessie/steam

Re: Should KXStudio repos move to Debian?

What do you find so wrong with the Debian installer ? Maybe it's just a question of habits, i didn't especially liked the Ubuntu installer last time i used it... Anyway i guess it wouldn't be especially be a problem for me if you change it as i could still use my current Debian and just add your rep...

Re: multiple boot for AV Linux

I also think sharing a common home folder with 2 Linux variants is a bad idea...but that is just my opinion. The solution i use for years is a common home but using different user names on each OS. I add a DATA folder (with appropriate permissions) in the /home . As both users are created on their ...

Re: Wanted non-Ubuntu testing for Cadence beta1

I just tried on my Debian sid. The tests I'm requesting are: 1 - Do all 4 apps run? (ie, show some gui) Yes 2 - Can you successfully close them without a crash? Yes 3 - Do jackmeter and xycontroller register a JACK client, and it appears on the graph? (ie, client appears in qjackctl connections, or ...

Re: AV Linux 3.0 Released

juki, AV Linux is English only at the present time partly because the remastersys tools used to build it are English only, and BTW it's Canada centered not US  Now on to your keyboard issue, AV Linux 3.0 uses Xorg 7.4 which uses Hal .fdi files instead of xorg.conf, here is a post at the AV Lin...

Re: AV Linux 3.0 Released

Hi. Probably good, but i didn't find any tools to change the keyboard configuration. Very US-centered, isn't it? With the 2.0, i managed to do it editing the xorg.conf. It didn't work with the 3.0, trying to install and reconfigure keyboard-configuration didn't work as well. I guess that there shoul...
