Re: How to get KXStudio repos on a Debian system

Is the KxStudio "special sauce" WINE available for Debian? I'm considering NOT doing any wine stuff at all... Wine in Debian and Ubuntu is too different, and would be too much work to maintain updated. I can confirm that the wine+RT and wineasio from Tango Studio works, i'm using it now to run Reap...

Re: Debian Jessie snd-aloop

There's also the possibility to mix Testing with Stable and Unstable using the pinning. You put the sources of all of them in /etc.apt/sources.list and create a file /etc/apt/preferences like this one : Package: * Pin: release a=testing Pin-Priority: 900 Package: * Pin: release a=stable Pin-Priority...

Re: How to get KXStudio repos on a Debian system

Maybe you can take it from TangoStudio repos. $ apt-cache policy wine wine: Installé : (aucun) Candidat : 1.4.1-4+rt0tstudio3 Table de version : 1.4.1-4+rt0tstudio3 0 500 http://download.tuxfamily.org/tangostudio/debian/ wheezy/main amd64 Packages 1.4.1-4 0 500 http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ wheez...

Re: Low latency kernel for Debian 7?

I don't understand your point. Why do you want prefer to have a low-latency kernel instead of a RT kernel ? I've used low latency kernels with avlinux and kxstudio. My understanding was that they were an in between to generic and rt kernels in that they allowed lower latencies while not adversly af...

Re: KlangFalter don't load IR files on Debian Wheezy

The package is of course 20130921-1kxstudio from the repos. None of the files work, quad or not. Maybe i don't try to load them correctly, i don't know, but if so i really wonder what is wrong as it doesn't seem complicated. I click on "No file loaded" and browse the file i want to load. And then ju...

[Solved] KlangFalter don't load IR files on Debian Wheezy

Hi. I installed KlangFalter on my Debian Wheezy from the KXStudio repos. Unfortunately it doesn't load any IR file, same problem on Ardour2, Ardour3 and Mixbus. They're correctly loaded by IR.lv2. I'm aware that the Debian version of KXStudio is not fully ready yet, so i'd like to know if the proble...

Re: Low latency kernel for Debian 7?

Hi.

In the Debian repositories you have the meta-package linux-image-rt-amd64 that will install you a RT kernel.

Another possibiliy is to install the package linux-image-realtime from the Tango Studio repositories.

This is off-topic, but for the people who mentionned the lack of Steam support on Debian :

Re: Should KXStudio repos move to Debian?

What do you find so wrong with the Debian installer ? Maybe it's just a question of habits, i didn't especially liked the Ubuntu installer last time i used it... Anyway i guess it wouldn't be especially be a problem for me if you change it as i could still use my current Debian and just add your rep...

Re: multiple boot for AV Linux

I also think sharing a common home folder with 2 Linux variants is a bad idea...but that is just my opinion. The solution i use for years is a common home but using different user names on each OS. I add a DATA folder (with appropriate permissions) in the /home . As both users are created on their ...
