Re: Changes when running Midi > Scripts?

Sure, no problem.
I changed the README, fixed some other things there as well.

Re: Drum editor - Velocity adjustments

It's "Per note", not per selection. So just click the instrument name in the list, then you should see only the velocity events for this note/instrument. For me at least it works without issues, just tried. As for the velocity event colours: I think there is some kind of overlay/mixing of ...

Re: Changes when running Midi > Scripts?

1. You are right. But this was a "feature" of the duplicate menu, it never worked in the Midi->Scripts menu. It's not so easy to fix without the duplicate menu, so I will reinstate it for the time being and think about a better solution. 2. The behaviour is not new, at least I haven't chan...

Re: AppImage for MusE (experimental)

That's not the AppImage.
I removed this menu in master because it was a duplicate of Midi->Plugins.
It should be called Scripts anyway IMO, to make it clear that it contains the scripts from the global and user scripts/ folder.

Re: AppImage for MusE (experimental)

Is the idea to set up some kind of automatic production of daily (weekly?) AppImages? Yes, that was exactly the idea. And of course I will create AppImages for the releases too. Out of curiousity, what code changes were necessary? The code must be made "relocateable", i.e. paths to intern...

Re: AppImage for MusE (experimental)

I forgot to mention (for people not acquainted with AppImages):
You must make the file executable after download. On CLI:

> chmod +x MusE-master-x86_64.AppImage

Or set the flag in your preferred file manager.

Re: AppImage for MusE (experimental)

Thanks for the testing, sounds promising.

BTW: We are planning a new release (3.2?) to come out very soon, so there should be an "official" version with all the recent UI rework before long.

AppImage for MusE (experimental)

Hi all, After a long and painful struggle I managed to create an (apparently working) AppImage  . I feel it's important to offer some possibility especially for Debian/Ubuntu based system users to get a more current version of the software than that offered by the official repos (which is usua...

Guess what, I've just discovered this old ticket:

It's requesting precisely the same thing I'm just trying to implement, what a coincidence... :o

Re: [SOLVED] Automation

So IIUC, when double clicking an Arranger part that is already open in a tab, it will normally simply jump to the double-clicked position in the open tab, unless shift or some other mechanism is held? Exactly. Not only for the tabbed mode, it will work the same even if the windows are floating. It ...

Re: Automation

For the other editors, I think it would be unwise to make them single instance. The ability to view the same part in different places at one time is valuable, the cut/copy/paste facility being one reason. Yes, no question that this possibility has added value and should be kept. On the other side, ...

Re: [SOLVED] Automation

Yes, I know, it's the same here. Must be a bug in Qt, as this can't be changed programmatically. The highlight is apparently displayed in the default tab position, which is at the top. I chose to display the tabs at the bottom (makes more sense to me) - this is "official" Qt function, no h...

BTW: Another useful shortcut for the tabbed UI is Ctrl+Tab. With that you can switch the tabbed windows quite quickly.

Re: Automation

Is it possible for the interface to remember which tabs are already opened? Right now, I can double click a part to open a tabs, switch back to the Arranger (tab), click the part again, and I get two tabs with showing the same part. That's the only thing that is missing, I think. That's unrelated t...
