Re: Are there any good arpeggiator plugins out there?
That looks pretty much exactly like what I was looking for.LAM wrote: ↑Sun Oct 31, 2021 5:27 pm Something like this? https://github.com/BramGiesen/arpeggiator_LV2
It throws me this error in Ardour though: "Port 2 ('Gate') has no known data type"
:/

Re: Are there any good arpeggiator plugins out there?
maybe https://librearp.gitlab.io/ Yeah I had a quick look at it. It's freeform(?) though so you make your own arps from what I gathered? Preferably it would be something like the MIDI Chord plugin from Robin Gareus but an arp with a couple of set options instead (how many octaves, up/down/random, e...

(Solved) Are there any good arpeggiator plugins out there?
Solved: Try this updated version: https://github.com/moddevices/mod-arpeggiator-lv2 Good evening! Been having a look around and I can't seem to find any simple GUI-less arpeggiator plugins that I can add to a track in ardour and arpeggiate the midinotes/chords on my track or from my controller. I'm ...

Re: Decent Sampler for Linux
Wanted to give this a bump as there has been quite a few improvements and lots of new Pianobook samples for DecentSampler the last 6 months! Personally I think there are tons of really great samples on Pianobook and DS is working very well for me at least. New pianobook website: https://www.pianoboo...

Re: [ANN] yabridge 3.6.0, October '21 edition
So with a completely new project in ardour it seems to work, whereas when I opened a previous template and tried to add a yabridge addon the error came up again and this is the ouput of that command after opening ardour and getting the errors: <snip> You'll need to either figure out what is using r...

Re: [ANN] yabridge 3.6.0, October '21 edition
Can you run journalctl -u rtkit-daemon.service -b -f in a terminal, launch Ardour, and look for new entries popping up that look like: Successfully made thread XXXXXX of process YYYYY owned by '1000' RT at priority ZZ Because something in Ardour must be using rtkit. So with a completely new project...

Re: [ANN] yabridge 3.6.0, October '21 edition
Well something 's using rtkit. That 200000 us (200 ms) limit is from rtkit. Question is, why is something in Ardour using rtkit? What was the output of 'real-time priority'/'-r' in that ulimit output? And are you still 100% sure you're not using PulseAudio in Ardour? You can change all of PipeWire'...

Re: [ANN] yabridge 3.6.0, October '21 edition
How are you launching Ardour? What do you get when you open a terminal and run bash -c 'LANG=C ulimit -a' in there? What's the value of the topmost entry there (real-time non-blocking time)? If that's set to unlimited, then try launching Ardour from that terminal. Do you still get a notification ab...

Hey! I've tried following the pipewire guide on your github, but I keep getting the RTlimit error. Any ideas as to why it wont take? I've managed to change from 48 to 44.1 through the config files but for some reason this setting doesnt seem to stick. Note, I have tried placing the config files in ...

Re: Pipewire configuration for low latency
Dunno if it is of interest, but it seems Unfa is doing some benchmarking of roundtrip latency at the moment for an upcoming video. Some of his results are here: https://pad.gieszer.link/sheet/#/2/sheet/view/lWEtVAYWfcpfDv8csMepwUsGjN7RyY8KmmhxncBJBD0/ He seems to be getting as low as 5-6 ms on best ...

Re: Pipewire configuration for low latency
I use qjackctl to configure buffer size (doesnt work for freq, just buffer afaik). I havent tested with recording a guitar quite yet, but everything on my system seems to indicate that it is running whatever I set in qjackctl. CPU use goes up as one would expect and if I go to low (48k/32) and try t...
