Re: Airwindows Discussion

So in danger of spamming this topic: I just retested on 48k/32bit (4 samples, 3 just makes jack freak out here) - and it runs perfectly fine with no xruns, about 40% DSP use with 20ish airwindows plugins and a couple other ones in Carla. - I played around on my guitar for about 20 minutes, changing ...

Re: Airwindows Discussion

I havent tested it so far down yet really. I'm mostly fine with anything below 15ish ms roundtrip when playing around with my guitar. And im not much of a "live player" on other instruments hah.

Re: Airwindows Discussion

I downloaded them all again the other day. I have had no problems. Running upwards of 30-40 airwindows plugins spread over 20-30 tracks/buses. 0 xruns. Might be lucky with the ones I use, I dunno. Although I have been running Dirt without problems at least ( lovely plugin! ) Under 40% cpu/dsp at 48k...

Re: Airwindows Discussion

Bit of an old thread, but considering Chris from Airwindows keeps pumping out quality stuff I thought it worth to ressurect it. I've recently begun using Airwindows plugins to "build" an amp sim / guitar rack. What I do is add a Carla RackFX in Ardour/DAW of choice (can ofcourse be done wi...

Re: Sfizz with DecentSampler format / MIDI release

A bit too much of a workaround to manually edit each .ds / .sfz file every time I want to change release time to be fair, hah. Especially when for all intents and purposes the DecentSampler plugin does work. I just prefer open source when I can. But thanks for the suggestion! Learnt something new to...

Re: TAL-DRUM

Oof, been wanting something like this for Linux for some time.

Had a little play around with the demo mode. Really nice plugin, as always from TAL.

Might have to splash some cash on this one!

ChowBYOD - Build Your Own Distortion

New plugin from ChowDSP. "Build Your Own Distortion" Contains emulation of loads of different overdrives/distortion pedals (including his own Centaur clone) and tons of utilities and effects as well. Just played around with it now with a guitar. Great plugin! https://chowdsp.com/products.h...

Re: Sfizz with DecentSampler format / MIDI release

The only CC I see on there is 7, 10 and 11 (volume, pan and expression). :/

Guess I'll keep using DecentSampler for now. It seems to be in their todo list for the 1.3 milestone when I checked their github just now.

Thanks though!

Sfizz with DecentSampler format / MIDI release

Hey there. So DS format is supported by sfizz now and just straight up playing works fine, but is there any way to set the release settings with sfizz? I can't seem to find a way. (In DecentSampler the sample libraries come with some controls, usually for release, reverb, RT sound(pianos)) It's grea...

Re: AV Linux MX Edition Bullseye Sneak Peek..

Cool to see the use of the LQX kernel! Especially after seeing the results from Unfa's testing of it vs the RT kernel.

Any chance of seeing an option to install with pipewire as default in the future?

Re: Can Linux really handle all genres of music?

Virtual Playing Orchestra seems to be the preferred option around here for orchestral samples. It has sections (1st violins, 2nd violins, horns, flutes, etc) as well as individual solo samples for almost any orchestral instrument you want to use. I say "almost any" because it doesn't have...

Re: Let's collect community Vitalium presets under libre licenses!

I'm not great at git, but here is a very simple 808ish bass I made (from a sine i generated myself just to be safe haha).

Edit: I have now added a couple more.
