Re: Stereo widening

It's just called Stereo Width; hadn't found (the source) it when I posted either. Now I am prety sure it's inside this http://kokkinizita.linuxaudio.org/linuxaudio/downloads/STE-plugins-0.0.2.tar.bz2 If not tell me, some how I find it lol That's the one, thanks :D Sounds pretty good too. I think I ...

Re: Stereo widening

I've just tried airwindows Wider, seems promising, thanks for that. I'm currently using Venomode Pivot (Linux VST) and that's sounding pretty good. I'm not sure that's strictly a widener but it's giving me the desired effect. right now I am comparing Fons Adriaensen's (Zita?) Stereo Width plugin to ...

tried some LFS apps what are those? Something I made up  Sorry about that, I meant SPL. My brain is clipping! impulse_responses_stereo-01 has a frequency response correction for my headphones. I took my phone meassurement from this huge database https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq; but cre...

my DSP chains are powerd by LSP lol above is headphones, below speakers Thanks for posting. I'm still trying to figure out configuring for headphones. I even tried some LFS apps on my phone but they're all next to useless. I think I'll just need to use my ears to get a consistent level between all ...

Re: 'blast'

That part right at the beginning was nice. If with that, you're meaning the heavy riff coming in at 00:19, that's how it started. I was just rewarding myself for having cleaned up & tuned my main Carla guitar patch, by making some noise ... Then, that riff came up, I thought 'hey, I want to loo...

Re: 'blast'

That's a really good piece of music, I like the guitar work. That part right at the beginning was nice.

That's really impressive for a "one-afternoon-production" :D

Take a break, you're putting me to shame! I must be running at half speed, or less

It's good to try a new direction, you have fun and learn something different. I'm not sure whether I'm jealous of or inspired by your motivation... probably both :D

Re: are you always listening at 83dB SPL? aka/ ISO 226:2003 based loudness compensation

@Capoeira - thanks for the explanation and info, it's very interesting :) I'll look into it a bit more but due to a combination of bilateral frequency loss in my hearing and having to use headphones mainly (music production is in a corner of my living room!), I'm not going to dedicate too much time ...

Ahhh... ok, that's the bit I'm missing. I thought it could be done in software. Thanks.

Re: are you always listening at 83dB SPL? aka/ ISO 226:2003 based loudness compensation

How exactly do I set up loud_comp to calibrate it? I've piped DeaDBeeF through /usr/bin/lsp-plugins-loud-comp-stereo with Jack as a test and audio plays but not sure how to set it up for - "audio system needs to be callibrated for the 83 dB output loudness". Which SPL meter should I use? A...

Re: Rated Blue - "Turnabout" (2020 REMIXES)

Good songs, my favourite is probably "When You Got A Name". I agree with Nachel on the vocal (the first two tracks) where there's a big echo to the left. I found that distracting. I thought the mix was too "muddy" in the part that started at 1:49 on "Man On A Wire". Jus...
