Not a style of music I can personally listen to but I thought it was interesting, done really well and sounds great!

Congratulations :)

Re: Harrison Mixbus in $49 deal at dontcrack

Cheers EG, that's the kind of very useful info I need. It sounds like you're very experienced with Mixbus. I've only one project in Ardour but it is finished bar final mixing/mastering. I'll do the import test into Mixbus for the experience and to test the differences! Would you recommend any of the...

Re: Harrison Mixbus in $49 deal at dontcrack

Thanks for all the feedback folks. I think I'll give Mixbus another go and probably get it when on offer, if I get on with it. I'll be making a donation to the Ardour devs anyway.

Re: Harrison Mixbus in $49 deal at dontcrack

What's the deal with Mixbus - is it simply Ardour with better graphics and their own EQ and compressor on every track? Do they give back to Ardour?

Re: mp3 Listening Quiz

My hearing has never been "perfect", I know that for a fact. This proves it...
1. 320
2. 128
3. 128
4. WAV
5. 128
6. WAV

A bit worrying for my mixing abilities

Interesting. I'm all for anything privacy related in these odious times of privacy erosion.

I read the FAQ but... do you need a Bitcoin wallet to be able to use it? Also, Tor was mentioned a lot but I presume using a VPN will also give anonymity?

Cheers.

I'm using the core repo kernel in Arch with the following tweaks... /etc/sysctl.d/99-sysctl.conf fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 600000 vm.swappiness = 10 I implement these changes at boot (my own systemd startup.service)... # increase the highest requested RTC interrupt frequency (default is 64 Hz) e...

Re: Primer on kernels. distro and repos

thanks for commenting You're welcome :) I actually tried the linux-rt kernel but was getting system freezes. I used to compile the linux-ck kernel which runs at 1000 ticks but that was some time ago. were they from the Arch core repo as well? No, from the AUR (Arch User Repository). It's pretty sim...

I am using Linux for 24 years, never liked Pulseaudio, but accepting it made life simpler. You can't kill all developers who use Pulseaudio in their clients. I am using it as a bridge to jack only, not more, not less. Of course, you use what works for you, Linux gives us those choices. I actually w...
