I think the drums need boosting in the mix and widen/excite the mix a little. Easier said than done I know! I'm no expert and certainly not with metal. I like your guitar work as well. Good stuff.

This was originally composed using a Yamaha SY22 and Mk1 Roland Soundcanvas with an Acorn Archimedes computer. Nice song :) Just for the record I'll say I'm not a keyboard player but more a sequencing tinkerer! I had an Acorn RiscPC but never tried to do any audio with it. I did, however, sequence ...

Good stuff I possibly agree with tseaver on the guitars but sounds great anyway.

Well I picked up a couple to play with. Hopefully it'll help development of more Linux plugins as well.

Unfortunately there aren't many that have a Linux VST. I really want Dominator but they told me to hold off on buying it as they have no idea when the Linux version will appear (I don't run Windows plugins).

I have Duality and that's nice.

Do you run it without the tray icon? How do you access the settings and fiddle with Graph and Patchbay?

My best settings is Sample Rate 4800 Frames/Period: 512 Periods/buffer: 3 It works without xrun, but the latency is freaking high 32ms. Which is not acceptable at all. I have a question which hardware could possibly help to lower the latency? Do you think a stronger CPU or a better audio interface?...

EDIT: I know the xruns now. Btw, may I ask what is your latency? My latency is currently 8 msec (rate: 96000; frames: 256; periods: 3). It seems ok at 4 msec but I'm allowing some wiggle room. I can't really help with your xruns as I don't use Pulseaudio. It sounds like a lot (most?) on these forum...

The red blink just indicates xruns have occurred. Middle clicking the icon resets. I don't know if you know this and are asking why you get xruns? You're not clear on that.

I love QjackCtl but the red flashing drives me nuts. I wish there was an option to disable it.
