Re: linuxdaw.org - listing quality audio software for linux
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and feedback! :) The way you load all the full size pictures at once makes the page very slow and bloated. It's better to use thumbnails and only load the full size image when they are clicked. I'm am loading small images first. They are max 600x400 (check the so...

Re: linuxdaw.org - listing quality audio software for linux
Wow excellent work!! Super Pro! Off top of my head probably missing a few notable FLOSS projects like Guitarix (Hermann Meyer) and SFizz.. Is Muse in there? I'm sure there are others.. https://guitarix.org/ https://sfz.tools/sfizz/ https://muse-sequencer.github.io/ Any desire for full Audio Distrib...

linuxdaw.org - listing quality audio software for linux
Howdy people! I thought I'd share a pet project I've been working on a few days.. https://linuxdaw.org linuxdaw.org.jpg It's a light weight web-page listing quality audio software for Linux (not everything known to man). It has a fast filter for narrowing what you're looking for and focus on images ...

Re: AMD Ryzen 7000 series (Zen4, AM5) and Linux compatebility
Thanks for the info! Yes, I might have to build my own kernel this time
..I will try to hold on a couple of months before I buy into this, then maybe there are enough experiences out there to draw upon.

AMD Ryzen 7000 series (Zen4, AM5) and Linux compatebility
Hi! I've been waiting for AMD to release their new Zen 4 architecture for 3 years now, since I didn't feel like buiing into the "old" Zen 3 when I knew something better was coming. Well, finally it's here and should be available in the shops very soon! But, before jumping on this train, I ...

Re: MIDI controllers - device or resource busy
It's just typical. 5 minutes after posting this I finally found a page that talked about this issue, which hinted at a solution. http://www.tedfelix.com/linux/linux-midi.html ALSA Troubleshooting "Device or resource busy" - If you get a "Device or resource busy" message, that mea...

[Solved] MIDI controllers - device or resource busy
Hi :) I've reinstalled my Linux machine and set it up from scratch again, and for whatever reason my 2 MIDI controllers doesn't work anymore. I'm on Linux Mint 20.1 (kernel 5.8.0-55-lowlatency) using Bitwig 3.3.10. I'm using jackd + cadence etc etc, standard setup, audio working fine etc. I also tri...

Midi plugins (vst) problem
Hi! Originally I thought this was a BitWig issue, but seems none had the same problem over there at answers.bitwig.com so I thought I'd try here.. I'm running BitWig on linux and use linvst for converting windows vst .dll files to .so files. This works perfectly with audio vst instruments and effect...

[closed] invalid ELF header
Hi, I get a lot of invalid ELF header errors when trying to run certain vst's (converted to .so with linvst) in BitWig 3. Serum, Predator 2, DUNE 3.. Searched around and tried a lot of stuff (enable/disable d2d1, etc) Anyone got some clues on this one? Thanks :) Update: I debugged and tried to fix t...

Re: TC Electronic Konnect 24D
I gave it another try and also got it working! 1) I ditched Ubuntu Studio and installed Linux Mint 19.2 (my favorite distro anyway) and did it from scratch 2) Installed the kxstudio repos https://kx.studio/Repositories 3) Installed these drivers sudo apt install jackd2 jackd2-firewire pulseaudio-mod...

Re: TC Electronic Konnect 24D
Nothing new I'm afraid. Was thinking to take this case further with the ffado community, but already spend some time on this, so right now I'm gonna have to throw in the towel and work in Windows 10 until I get this working.

Re: TC Electronic Konnect 24D
Have you tried removing the "snd-dice" module? Is it loaded? Today I did some more research and like you said, this is something I missed! Doing this will load jack initially, however after some time (see log) the audio drops out with an error . Unloading snd-dice and rebooting: alf@studi...

[Solved] TC Electronic Konnect 24D
Hello guys! I'm having some problems getting my TC Electronic Konnekt 24D (firewire card) working in the Ubuntu Studio distro. About 1 year ago I got it working on another partition (with Linux Mint 19) after spending like 2 days "hacking". ..but ofc I've forgotten it all now, and I'm stuc...

Re: Bitwig Studio 3.0 is out now.
Just bought it and a have a new Lenovo Yoga 730 with tough screen on the way. Switching from a Windows/Ableton setup.
Still haven't desided on which distro to use though. Anyone with similar setup got some recommendations? (I'm a seasoned Linux user, using Mint on most pcs for coding)
