2019 Milestone recording
This was my final piece of 2019. In many ways, this is the culmination of all I've learned about composing, recording, and arranging this past year. https://soundcloud.com/modusjonens/unintended-consequences-redux It combines: explorations of a theme big, emotional buildups djent-esque rhythms crush...

Screencast of chiptune track in Hydrogen
I put together a chiptune track recently and decided to record the video of it playing back in Hydrogen. This is not a melodic track, just FYI. Possibly for people who like listening to their Game Boys completely freak out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l34yC_fMW_g I just can't get enough of that ...

Re: New goa track (Renoise / Linux)
This is great! I also really enjoy the Goa trance in jeskola buzz #6 track on your channel. It has me dancing in my desk chair at work :) I read "I think I will make tutorial how I made Kick and Bass for this track on my blog at www.goa.in.rs if someone is interested in that" in the descri...

Re: Amen
One can get lost in sounds this big (in a good way)! I start to wonder what this would sound like with a cathedral-style reverb
Great piece. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Cleaning guitars?
I tend to do more dusting than cleaning per se. I just use a nice soft chamois cloth on the body of the guitar. I have come to like using GHS Fast Fret for string cleaning and general fretboard maintenance.

Re: Hi from the Constitution State, USA!
Welcome!
I had to look up the Hagstrom F-20t for reference as I hadn't heard of that maker before -- they're gorgeous. Reminds me a bit of the aesthetics of a 70's Teisco Del Rey I started playing on. Very cool!

Re: Rated Blue - Joy
I must have listened to this one at least a dozen times already -- I really dig this groove!
Love the bass intro -- great playing. The organ really adds richness to the overall sound. The use of hand percussion insttrumentation here reminds me that tambourine can well-employed.

Re: Let's Cruise (surf)
When I read "(surf)", I was wondering if it would have a spring reverb. It sounds like there is no spring reverb, but that's fine. When creating these patches on my Line 6 POD HD500X, I initially reached for a '63 spring reverb (but of course!). For whatever reason, it wasn't quite doing ...

Let's Cruise (surf)
First time I've written a surf rock piece. Wrote and recorded this little piece today. Trying to get the hang of it :) https://soundcloud.com/modusjonens/lets-cruise Had some fun putting together surf-type guitar tones and trying out a new (to me) drumkit: the GMkit. As per usual, I played my "...

Re: I'll be back for you (instrumental version)
Gosh, I feel like a real idiot... I really didn't know about the Mixer in Hydrogen I say there's no reason to feel bad -- we're all here to learn! I must have been using Hydrogen for a few months before I even realized the mixer was even an available tool! I really ought to have read the docs more ...
