Re: Elegy in B minor for cello and piano (classical)

A very good and moving piece, it's good to hear different kinds of music! Thanks, it's definitely fun to experiment with different kinds of music! RE: the loss of MIDI data when importing into Ardour, I stumble into that as well. Have you tried loading it into Qtractor? Actually, dynamics weren't t...

Re: Elegy in B minor for cello and piano (classical)

FYI, the score is available here: https://musescore.com/lminiero/elegy-in-b-minor Thank you for this. I'm teaching a 13-year old student how to use MuseScore, I'm sure he'll enjoy seeing and hearing your work. Best, dp I'm very much a beginner with it myself, so I'm pretty sure I'm not doing everyt...

Nicely done throughout. The composition is solid and the realization is convincing enough. Very good work.

Best,

Elegy in B minor for cello and piano (classical)

Hi all, as I was saying in a few other posts, I've been working a lot on classical pieces lately, like the Waltz I shared last month. About a week ago, in the morning, a small seed of an idea came to me, which I quickly noted down with Lilypond; yesterday, with some more time on my mind, I decided t...

Looks like it's still available through this old archive.org backup! (if you trust their .exe that is...)

Re: Wonder World game soundtrack (a blast from the past!)

Awesome :D . Which Software did you use to make the Tracks? I'm pretty sure it was some version of Cakewalk (whatever was available in 1999/2000  ), which is what I used at the time on Windows. As a child a played Police Quest and Space Quest. Later Zak Mckracken. https://www.gamersglobal....

Re: Wonder World game soundtrack (a blast from the past!)

Fun stuff, I'll give the music a listen when I can don a decent pair of headphones. That screenshot makes me want to play the game. Believe me, the headphones won't need to be decent at all! The game was written in Java, and IIRC it was available in English as well: I still have a copy but it...

Wonder World game soundtrack (a blast from the past!)

Hi all, while I'm working on some classical stuff, and I have 5-6 tracks from last year half-ready that I have no idea when I'll have the time to finish, I wanted to share with you this little gems from my (very old) past! They were not created using Linux (if we exclude stitching them together with...

Re: 2019 Milestone recording

@Rainmak3r -- Thank you for listening :) Glad you enjoyed! Are you planning to expand on it? For all the good things it contains, it does feel a bit short, and I think that with the themes you have it could be longer and still be very interesting. The main theme in particular is something you can d...

Re: Deeper And Deeper

I'm not a huge fan of electronic music, but I really liked this! It gave me some good dark ambient vibe, and it reminded me a bit of "God is coming" by Antimatter in terms of mood as well

Nice little gem! Did you record more than one guitar at the same time, or is it a single track?

Re: My New Guitar: Ibanez AM53

That's a cool looking guitar, and I do like the clean sounds! As a metalhead, though, now you've kept me wondering what it sounds like when you use it for something much heavier

Re: Daydreaming Waltz (classical)

Wow! This sounds really good, what an ambitious arrangement!? To me if it had some period appropriate settings with the Calf Vinyl plugin it would sound like a very legit Classical recording on a 78RPM record from 100 years ago.. Thanks for the nice words, glad you liked it! I'll have to play with ...
