Apisonic Labs Speedrum 2 beta!! The new king is in town!

There is a new drum king coming to Linux!!! Speedrum 2 is currently in beta, and I don't know of a better app on Linux for drums! I currently own version 1, and the upgrade path is really fair. In addition, there is currently a discount for those who buy while it is in beta. Check it out! https://ww...

What are your favorite GUI-based Pipewire tools?

I've been putting together my own personal GUI Front End Pipewire tool set. I'm curious what tools you are using and for what reasons. For example, I am starting to use the following tools: PavuControl -- For Sound Card Setup Wireplumber -- It's the default, so I want to keep it. :) Qpwgraph -- Grap...

Re: guitarix2-0.45.0 released

Thanks you all. I hope guitarix is still useful. Looking forward to integrating some Neural models. Such amazing technology these days! Indeed, the model list on ToneHunt is nearly endless. :D And as while we are on it, I've now integrated support for RTNeural as well. So with the latest revision o...

Re: Switching to Linux for better drivers?

I've recently changed my audio interface to an Motu M2 because my other one was broken and although this is a really great interface hardware-wise its drivers on windows are quite lackluster. It glitches quite a lot at times. The ASIO4ALL drivers make it way better though, way less glitches but at ...

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.20 Released!

While we’re at it, has development halted? I’m seen very little progress since Covid. I have been unable to use the program because of the lack of hidpi support for linux. I’m just curious… 🙂

Re: Guitarix.vst v0.2 released

Guitarix.vst is the full blown guitarix stack as VST3 plugin for Linux, using Juce to wrap the guitarix engine into a VST3 plugin. It allow to load/save your presets, download presets from online and load external LV2 plugs and IR Files, like the guitarix stand-alone version. But all that as a VST3...

Re: Audioassault plugins on Fedora

@bluebell There is a banjo playing Python programmer hiding between my MOTU UltraLite AVB and its interrupt. "Are you talkin' to me!" You'd better step back, or I'll rip off a double-thumbed list incomprehension that will leave you standing in just your sandals and your jockstrap! Taxi Dr...

Re: Ardour 8.4 maintains its GUI toolkit in its source tree

See https://ardour.org/whatsnew.html What's hip today is outdated tomorrow. It seems that the Ardour developers have realized that the only reliably available GUI toolkit is the one that you maintain yourself. Doesn't that remind us of many plugin developers' way to handle it? It's really not a bad...

Re: Is there any way to scale wine VSTs up for 4K displays?

For me 4k resolution would be ok in 46" monitor (same pixel density than FullHD in 23"). My eyesight is not that good that I would need more than fullhd in 'normal' monitor. And on that 46", scaling would not be a problem :-) I totally agree! 4k on a 46" monitor would be a dream...

Re: Is there any way to scale wine VSTs up for 4K displays?

With all that said, if your monitors support standard 1080p (1920x1080 pixels), you could run your monitor at that resolution and use things that way. That's not a solution. It would make everything else on screen intolerable to look at. However I did find something similar that works, KDE has a sc...

Re: Audioassault plugins on Fedora

Downloading presets and license keys can be done with a browser. A plugin doesn't have to phone home. "But ... but ... but it's so convenient!" Yeah. Sure. Who are you arguing with? There is a banjo playing Python programmer hiding between my MOTU UltraLite AVB and its interrupt. Yikes! P...
