Re: Hello, Zrythm developer here

Argh, I don't have that stuff to compile: meson & ninja. Don't want to install this. So, don't want to test further or even trying to use it. Thanks, though I don't have any time to waste on that! For anyone who compiles their own software, having all mainstream build systems installed is a must. I...

Re: [ignore] how can I ban pulseaudio from my packagemanager?

With all due respect to the PulseAudio developers and to the fact that they made GNU/Linux audio very newbie-friendly, I hope PipeWire goes gold soon and replaces both it and JACK!

I just checked and it is now at autospawn = 0. Updated Cadence and still no luck :(
I actually can't replicate your problem on my system. Could you try running from the command line:

cadence-pulse2jack

and see if the proper connections are created?

Cleaning it up is really difficult. I'll continue working on it; but it may take some time.
No problem, you are doing a great job (I can already see some very musical applications)

Let me hijack the thread for a bit just to complement you for your work on the Laborejo suite. It was something much needed!

Thank you for this! As a personal favor, I ask you to put the name of the programs in plain text under the ASCII art, because I am very bad at reading ASCII art. Thank you :D

Re: Lots and lots of JACK problems!

@Basslint: glad to hear from the project maintainer! I'm assuming you meant that I'm the first one who *doesn't* want to avoid PulseAudio? Either way, I am running from a clean install, home directory and all. While I'm at it, I might as well mention to you that I also can't get my WiFi to work wit...

Famitracker-qt (libre NES chiptune program)

https://github.com/TauAkiou/famitracker-qt

Someone did good progress on porting FamiTracker (GPLv2) from the Windows API to Qt5. Is there anyone interested in carrying it forward? Even if my Qt is a bit rusty I'd like to give a hand, but on my own I don't think I'd be able to complete it.

Re: Lots and lots of JACK problems!

Hello, co-maintainer of GeekosDAW here, although you got the one who doesn't use Cadence  First, thanks for this report because it's the first time a GeekosDAW user tries avoiding Pulseaudio. We still are adjusting to all possible workflows and it's very important to have people doing things di...

Re: Rated Blue - "Turnabout" (2020 REMIXES)

It's a strange paradox, isn't it? I remember when I was in high school we used to sell home-dubbed cassette tapes of our garage band, and we were so happy when we sold 100 of them. That was quite an accomplishment in such a small market. Now we can get our music anywhere in the world ... but I'm st...

Re: Rock/Metal Midi Instrument Design in Zyn

On a more isolated listen, I think there are some "chirping" high frequencies which could be attenuated a bit.

Re: Ardour-$foobar

But let's recognize that Ardor has MIDI worse than the 80s. Voyetra's Sequencer Plus Gold from 1985 was more advanced in the midi edition. it is not critical, it is a reality. One could argue that MIDI itself is a protocol from the 80s and that we should have known better and adopted OSC by default...

Grazie mille! (ora che ci penso non credo di sapere il tuo nome, gravissimo!) Fabio, there is at least one awesome metal musician with that name! (Fabio Lione). Yeah, one of the reasons why I went went with the POD X3 Live this time was because I had a couple of presents that I really thought could...

Re: Call of the 80s

Bella traccia Lorenzo! I always like the writing on your guitar parts, this time I am also familiar with the "source material", so to speak (being a big fan of 80s metal myself), so I can say you totally nailed the sound!
