Reality would bear out the argument. There is now a huge amount of recorded music in the world. Much more than when the book I linked was published in 1977. Now, virtually all of that music is available on Spotify for £9.99 a month, or whatever a Spotify subscription costs. QED.

I got Audio Assault Blacksun working. Blacksun was installed into /opt and I had to change the owner, from root to my user, of the Audio Assault folder within /opt. Then it worked.

Let's leave the ad hominem aside. Why would you want an exclusive mode? It's already possible to do that with ALSA. In fact, as I'm sure you're aware, Paul Davis now recommends ALSA on the Ardour forum. For your own sake brother, are you spending too much time on Windows?
