Re: Ultralite AVB

Ok, here is the pcm.c patch + a 3 quirks for proprietary 24, 32 and 64 channel mode. Add the quirk that matches the number of channels you want to use. (this is why the file is not a patch file). The number of channels must match the value you set in the "maxUSBToHost" Note: the pcm patch...

Today they removed all firmware except for the latest from their website: http://motu.com/proaudio/index.html#avb-download-additional-resources EDIT: Previous firmware is still available on their firmware change log page: http://motu.com/techsupport/technotes/firmwarechangelog/

Re: Ultralite AVB

I just had a peek at http://motu.com/avb/index.html#avb-download-additional-resources and saw that MOTU downgraded the "latest" firmware on that site to 1.2.9+479. http://motu.com/techsupport/technotes/firmwarechangelog/ still shows the 1.3+ firmwares... Interesting. I have been checking ...

Unfortunately the firmware versions do not go back that far for the 8pre-es.

Has 1.2.9 been reliable enough? Any luck with AVB?

Re: Ultralite AVB

Looking at this thread http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=65037 , there might even be other layers of problems or misconfigurations, like powersaving in particular, even on windows. Have you guys with the new firmware tried setting (usb host controllers) tunables of powertop t...

Re: Ultralite AVB

There is an ALSA AVB ethernet kernel driver in the beaglebone linux source tree. I modified it slightly so it would compile on my AMD box. For those that are eager to try it i've uploaded the source to http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=46573648968568397976 I've downloaded this, typed "make&q...

Re: Ultralite AVB

Thanks for trying. Do you know if this will work with a non i210 nic? AVB would be even better if it could be made to work. Also for some reason I'm having trouble directly accessing the Motu mixer through a direct wired connection to computer. Works fine with Motu to wifi router and computer to wifi.

I will gladly do this as soon as I can within the next 24 hours.

How long of a capture do you need in debug mode?

Re: Ultralite AVB

@supereb: You could try to use vendor specific interfaces 4 + 5 instead of 1 + 2 and see what happens... Ok. Modifying the original file, the channel swapping still occurred. One thing that I did notice in all of this testing is that when running the test file, the transition when channel swapping ...

Ok, this is for the 828pre... Thanks for creating the test file. Initially I forgot to switch form 48kHz to 96kHz. It would swap channels, but only for an instant before reverting back to the correct channels. After a couple of times it would begin to swap channels for longer periods of time. When ...
