Re: Ultralite AVB
I'm running on the latest beta firmware with the touch tab and I don't get the problems you're describing. I have had issues with when first selecting the card and using ardour it xruns like crazy. I have to sometimes unplug/plug usb back in. Thanks for sharing your experience. Maybe there's someth...

Re: Ultralite AVB
I am curious whether you can get the crackling to happen using the Ultralite AVB as a stand-alone DA converter without connecting it to Linux. Well, it was plugged into USB since day one and while booting up, it shows usb 5-1: clock source 1 is not valid, cannot use which makes a single crack, infl...

Re: ALSA - Using slots with multiple snd_usb_audio drivers
This is where I don't know what to do. I understood I had to use a udev rule to detect the hot pug, but after that... See "Writing udev rules" here: https://alsa.opensrc.org/Udev Run ls -lha /dev/snd/by-path # or ls -lha /dev/snd/by-id # then ask udevadm about that device udevadm info -a ...

Re: Anyone using the AudioBox USB?
Hi, I had this working pretty fine. I still have it sitting here and can test if you want. As suggested in the other thread: Try switching USB-Ports or unplugging things you don't need (maybe the windows drivers does some magic to make it work). Maybe it doesn't like USB 3.0/3.1 ports. Take a look a...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Do you use alsa or jack? There is ltcgen for alsa instead of jltcgen. I'm using it with the -r switch by now, which does compensate drift of the timecode. I don't know if it makes a difference, but adjusting doesn't do damage like cracking. I use a sample rate of 44100Hz btw. The fact that it get's ...

Re: Ultralite AVB
If you route the SPDIF input directly to the Ultralite AVB's output without going through Linux and without using the LTC clock, does the issue still happen? Without LTC I'll get both issues (single crack and bitcrushing). With LTC until now, the bitcrushing seems gone (didn't notice) and the singl...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Musinux, can you listen to that and confirm that we are talking about the same issue? Positive. This is the issue I can live with, since it happens rarely. My biggest issue with this problem was that I thought it has to do with processing the signal (and I kept playing around with my process settin...

Yes, enough for room measurements with REW.lilith wrote: is enough? I'll give it a trial as soon I find some time and do some reading first.

Re: Ultralite AVB
Bad news for lovers of ultracrack avb: Thanks to https://github.com/x42/ltc-tools it's possible to use LTC as clocksource. You'll need libtc installed to get this working. Just use git clone https://github.com/x42/ltc-tools to get the tools and cd ltc-tools && make to compile it. Then you ca...

Re: M-audio, one good, one bad
@folderol thanks for sharing your experiences! @briandc https://wiki.linuxaudio.org/hw/start is up again. Most of the interfaces listed are not available anymore. Since there are class-compliant devices, which work out-of-the-box everywhere in theory, there shouldn't be the need to include them in a...

Re: REW with Software EQ
[ What do I have to inlcude here that REW sees the input channel? BruteFIR looks pretty complicated, thanks for the tip. Although I'm pretty sure you don't want to do it that way: For this asoundrc, you have to load the snd-aloop module with sudo modprobe snd_aloop or fill /etc/modprobe.d/sound.con...

Re: Ultralite AVB
@be I can't explain why it reacts so buggy when switching the sample rate, but I'd be curious to know how this, and the other issues, are in windows or macOS using USB or AVB(devices). That said, if your interfaces IP is 192.168.1.10 and your desired sample rate is 44100, using curl --data 'json={&q...

Re: REW with Software EQ
1. See http://www.jackaudio.org/faq/routing_alsa.html . Change your .asoundrc to the jack-bridge and REW can "see" your jackd. 2. If you have this running, and if you're brave enough, see https://www.ludd.ltu.se/~torger/brutefir.html , which let's you try eq changes in realtime (and much m...

Ultralite AVB
Hi there, since I spent so much time finding a cool usb-interface for linux, I hope I can help somebody else with this. I'm using a Ultralite AVB with ALSA and/or JACK 1 with some problems. Jack1 latency is down to 2.9ms@44100Hz (64/3) without any xruns. Jack2 has some xruns no matter what the laten...
