Re: One Hit Wonder - a reimagination after learning new tricks
I like how this track weaves in and out of blues, blues rock, and psychedelic rock. The intro adds a lot, I think. I think your guitar performance is excellent on the solo. Nicely done. I also like the vocal performance, which sounds so even-keel over such a rockin' song, although I agree that it ne...

Re: Endless day (borderline synthpop)
I really like the choir synths, but they are a little hot in the mix and overwhelm the lead vocals. I also really like the portamento theremin-like sound that comes in at about 4:00.

Re: Laser Tag (Failed Video Game Theme)
Very nice track! The sounds are well chosen and balanced. Changes are enough to keep interest through the piece. And I love the guitar! That was just what the composition needed.

Re: Love Songs - The Argent Grub (made with Ardour)
Nice vintage punk sound. Reminds me of early Joy Division, complete with undecipherable lyrics. Except that you sing in tune.

Re: Do you find it hard to work on more than one recording at a time?
I often have a handful of things cooking at the same time, but usually most are on the backburner. Right now I have three recordings started, but only one has seen progress in the last 6 weeks. I have a queue of songs that I want to start when these are done. I tend to work on songs "offline" with j...

Re: Mind Cavern
The drum track is Tom's finger drumming the Roland FA-06, using one of the stock drum samples on the synth. I received it as a single stereo track, and I don't recall putting any effects on that track. I could have used a multiband compressor, I suppose, to bring out the bass frequencies. Also, no h...

Re: Mind Cavern
Milo, Great song! I loved the harmonies, it's not common to hear these kind of harmonies in mainstream music today. The arrangement sounds great too, the piano leads the song but the guitar parts and percussion fits very well. I liked the way the drums were mixed, kind of low and not so loud. Great...

Re: Garden Realities (binaural soundscape)
I'm curious to know more about your workflow. How did you make the field recordings? Were the original field recordings in mono or stereo? Did you use any spatial effects plugins, like stereo wideners, echo delay, etc? The result sounds very convincing in headphones.
