Re: Mind Cavern

Milo, Great song! I loved the harmonies, it's not common to hear these kind of harmonies in mainstream music today. The arrangement sounds great too, the piano leads the song but the guitar parts and percussion fits very well. I liked the way the drums were mixed, kind of low and not so loud. Great...

Re: Garden Realities (binaural soundscape)

I'm curious to know more about your workflow. How did you make the field recordings? Were the original field recordings in mono or stereo? Did you use any spatial effects plugins, like stereo wideners, echo delay, etc? The result sounds very convincing in headphones.

Re: Cloud castles (melodic electro)

Nice, interesting piece. I could hear this as a game soundtrack. I like the symphonic sounds over a danceable beat. I'm not familiar with the scene you were aiming for, but I like where you landed with this.

Nice jam! Sounds like it was a lot of fun to play and record.

I love the Black Pearl kit samples. Did you use the AVL Drumkits LV2, or Hydrogen?

Re: On The Road Again (Blues)

This song was new to me, so I didn't come to the listening experience with any expectations. It reminds me of the early British rock adaptations of blue songs - not quite the gritty American originals but something new and quite different, and good in their own way. My only critique is that it seems...

Re: Please validate my Acoustic Guitar Vocal Recording Template

One other thought: why have separate busses for guitar and vocal effects? Why not just put your effects directly on the two tracks?

Re: MOD Devices sponsors Linuxmusicians.com

I don't think MOD is in hard times. They are about to launch the MOD Dwarf and are expanding their business by going semi-public on Crowdcube.

How much does it cost to keep this site online? I'm willing to donate.

Welcome! I would love to hear your music, when you get the link working. That sounds really eclectic!

I visited New Orleans once and had a good time enjoying the street music in the French Quarter.

Re: Are cross platform projects possible?

You run into headaches whenever you try to do anything beyond exporting and sharing wav files, even when your collaborator is using the same DAW and OS.
