That's awesome!
Good job and congratulations with this pretty major release!

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?

I indulge that this midi clip "automagic-linking" (or not) should be an user preference option, whatever, but afaik. no single soul ever complained on that before, no bug, no ticket, no request, no nothing:), until now (which isn't official, yet;))--in fact, it was once an explicit featur...

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?

I don't have to jump through all the menus to do something as simple as copying and pasting with the copied data fully independent of the original. Something that Qtractor and Ardour made very difficult to do, not impossible, just difficult. It could have been a simple preferences setting, but the ...

Re: Guitarix release 0.36.0

At least it sounds reasonable what you said now. If you provide a patch here: https://sourceforge.net/p/guitarix/patches/?source=navbar I'll look at it, and if it turns out to be more clear in the configure steps, I'll accept it. regards hermann I'll give it a try! :) I'm still working on this, wil...

Re: developing a sample slicer plugin - Ninjas

Another thing. Currently it won't run in Ardour. Crash as soon as you load a file. Probably has to do with dynamic linking. I'm a noob, so I have to figure out how to link statically. This is not a problem in qtractor btw. Found a second bug when slicing and setting all slices to loop forward. Gonn...

Re: Zynaddsubfx 3.0.3 - The “She Scanned” Release

Thanks for the continued work on this! Just to be sure, I'd like to support the development but wish to do so if/once the code is open sourced. Would that still be possible? Its not finalized, but the current leaning is donations will still be accepted or you can buy a convenient, pre-built binary....

Re: Guitarix release 0.36.0

Thanks for the response/info! I noticed there are two options "--no-ladspa" and "--no-new-ladspa", what's the difference between them? --no-ladspa exclude the very old guitarix ladspa plugins from the build, I'll exclude them on default within the next circle. --no-new-ladspa exc...

Re: Guitarix release 0.36.0

I just tried building Guitarix 0.36.1 and creating a package for it for gentoo. During which I found some things in the wscript/waf configure options that don't seem to be working the way I expected them to. I noticed there are two options "--no-ladspa" and "--no-new-ladspa", wha...

Re: Breaking changes in Carla Plugin Host

@falktx Thanks for the update. Good stuff! Nice to see a project get rid of JUCE, been disliking it more and more, mainly because of technical issues, but also because of their total disregard for Linux features/fixes and them rather spending time on "features" like developer and user trac...

Re: Restore complete Jack-session

If you want to do this with standalone applications your best bet is either session management, which means either LADISH or Non Session, or use a script/scripting or something like autocable https://llllllll.co/t/beginning-a-gnu-linux-jack-headless-performance-system/1119. Otherwise if you want to ...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero

Are the changes to the jucer file and generated Makefiles also available somewhere?
And is there still an upstream where are changes should end up? Would be nice to get it all merged/fixed so there's one single source of truth again.

Re: Plugin development advise

no need for build scripts with DPF, you just do "make WIN32=true" or "make MACOS=true", if you copy over its makefiles from the example plugins that is. You do need to setup your own compiler though, but that's true for anything else. Yeah it will easily let you do so, same for ...
