Yes!
I find your script very useful and I wrote a guide in my blog
I am listening to your song again. It is very good. I think you have a very nice voice but I feel you can sing much better. The pitch is OK. I don't know enough English to express what I mean, sorry.
Cheers! Pablo

Re: Ubuntustudio vs 64studio?
Soft mode doesn't solve the problem. It is better you know when a xrun happens. I think the defaults options are the sanest possible. See, Dave Philips wrote a wonderful guide. Take a look at it: $wget w3.linux-magazine.com/issue/67/JACK_Audio_Server.pdf Maybe, increase periods/buffer to 512 and see...

Re: Festige, a gui for fst
can programs be manipulated with rtirq, too? From the Alsa Wiki : The script identifies the audio devices present on the machine and raises the priority of the threads that handle the IRQs of such devices. how can i manually give a higher priority to fst? Have you take a look at the priority fst ac...

Enormous rtirq! Thank you Capo!
I am on the side that it is better to have the audio card in a unique IRQ number but...
they are separate kernel threads?... I am not too familiar with this, doesn't it matter if there is a nvidia in the same IRQ?
Please some light...

Hi! The usb bus 001 in which you have plugged your edirol is sharing IRQ number with the graphics card: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0582:007d Roland Corp. EDIROL UA-101 16: 234 1413912 0 0 0 0 0 181 IO-APIC-fasteoi ehci_hcd:usb1, nvidia You should first try to have the EDROL in usb bus 002 which is alone...

Re: Ubuntustudio vs 64studio?
Have you tried with n=3 and n=2 (periods/buffer)?. Does it make a difference?
With the USB card connected, can you give the output of
$lsusb
and
$cat /proc/interrupts
?
