AVLinux install question
I have a great install of AVL on a thumb drive. Now I want to take this personal install and put it onto my laptop. "AV Live Install" is gone since it is no longer a 'live' install. I remember still being able to install ALV including personal files from a usb to hdd because I did it years...

Re: KXStudio 18.04 Testing
I know that Ubuntu has switched from gnome to unity to whatever they use now...
Question: Might it be best to ditch neon until it matures and go with something lite and reliable like MATE? Or does Carla and that good stuff have KDE libs and QT stuff baked in requiring KDE or Neon?

Re: Guitar-to-MIDI conversion in Rakarrack/Guitarix?
I would not believe it if I didnt try it out. I read on their webpage; under no hardware or tweaking needed (mouse over tekst) "...with a standard audio-interface" How is the Sonuus G2M (witch I believe is midi only) connected to this setup? I think you can use this software without the s...

Re: Guitar-to-MIDI conversion in Rakarrack/Guitarix?
I wonder if I should not have posted it because it's not Linux software... Nor the awesome software in the op.
It just seemed to cool to not share.
I don't know how they do it.... And if it really is just better algorithms then wow....

Re: Guitar-to-MIDI conversion in Rakarrack/Guitarix?
Yeah I agree regarding the hardware. But using the software I refer to allows me to play chords. It's not perfect but it sure is close.
I imagine other monophonic midi converters would work as well.
The key is the software.

Re: Guitar-to-MIDI conversion in Rakarrack/Guitarix?
I found a solution to polyphonic midi guitar to synth. Sonuus G2M - Universal Audio to 5pin MIDI Din Converter to https://www.jamorigin.com/ Its called Midi Guitar 2. Run it through wine. Then I run Pianoteq (through wine, not natively through Linux) so MG2 can find it. Its the coolest thing. Midi G...

Re: KXStudio 18.04 Testing
Thanks for the info. I figured it would be something like that just didn't know the depth. I know it's a lot, and it's always really great to use.
I will patiently wait now and donate to the cause asap.

Re: KXStudio 18.04 Testing
Would it be possible to install the neon version NOW and apply the magic falkTX scripts and audio goodness when released LATER?

It works.
Think it needs an additional crappy windows. Net... Like 2.0 or something.

Re: Installing Melodyne
I have been using the essential version for 2 years. I use codeweaver crossover Linux. It's a variation and alt development of wine. It does cost money. Wineasio does not work on this version because I just don't know enough about how to set up the wine prefix to point to the..cxoffice wine version ...

KXStudio: Mixbus3 & Jack export(rendering) error that survived 14.04 to 16.04
Hello. I have been using Mixbus 3.7 on KXStudio 14.04 x86_64 with no problems for a long time. I used to be able to export video and mostly audio without any issues.... until a few weeks ago. A workaround: switch Mixbus3 audio engine to ALSA and pick some other hardware to connect to and then render...
