Re: Airwave: error on cmake
Had some time to look into this myself and I think I found the problem. It seems to be about me not setting up the correct folder structure for the Steinberg VST SDK files. When unpacking the Steinberg VST SDK (VST 3.6.8 Audio Plug-Ins SDK) you get a folder structure like this: VST_SDK -- VST2_SDK -...

Re: iRig HD - high input volume
@sysrqer: Thanks for the tip! I had connected both inputs from the iRig to both inputs of Carla. When disconnecting one of the connections the signal level came back to normal! Even more strange - when I connected it back signal was still at a normal level.

Airwave: error on cmake
Hi, I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 and am trying to build Airwave. I installed all the required dependencies and the Steinberg VST SDK. When running cmake according to the instructions on the github page I get the following error saying that the VST SDK is not found: cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE="Release"...

Re: iRig HD - high input volume
@magicalex: I sure tried that - but to get the sound to a decent level I would have to almost turn off the preamp on the iRig and turn the volume control on the guitar down to 1 or 2. Doing that and playing soft results in a signal that is not clipping. But as soon as i hit the strings with a little...

iRig HD - high input volume
Hi, I'm trying to setup my Ubuntu 16.04 computer as a virtual guitar amp. My interface is an iRig HD (http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irighd/). I use Jack for connecting everything up and Carla as a host for the plugins I want to use. After some fiddling around I got everything working and I ge...

Re: Ignite Amps plugins - GUI not properly drawn
Thanks for all the suggestions. I have tried guitarix which is working fine - will just have to learn how to get good sound out of it! I do not have wine-rt, but standard wine. But I guess that would not make any difference on GUI rendering.. I should probably try to swap standard wine to wine-rt an...

Hi all, Nice to be here. Found lots o good information already! I started learning guitar a couple of years ago and find it great fun. Have been playing piano and keyboards on and off since I was a little kid. When starting with the guitar I also started using software based ampsims and DAWs. I did ...
