I'm thinking we should just release what we have now and push the remaining tasks (there are 2) to the next release.

Actually that particular feature is on the roadmap, no work has yet been put into it The idea is to have it both as a built-in feature (ie. a audio in audio out version of the plugin) and as a standalone audio to midi plugin which can be used separately. But don't wait up.. it's not planned for any ...
