Thanks for the reminder that I should have a better backup solution.

Probably more like 999 out of 1000, but I agree with your point. I like Linux, but I've given up trying to evangelize it.

I listened to the whole album. My favorites were Wires and Raspberry Jam. It's pretty incredible what you are able to do with only Yoshimi.

Re: No Budget Orchestra Plugins

I tried doing the system wide install. The plugins showed up in /usr/local/lib/lv2 and the samples under /usr/share/NoBudget/, but when I tried running the plugins they would give me messages like "Brass/French_Horn/map.txt load error - Operation not permitted" Then I removed the previousl...

Re: New native roomverb plugin

This uses the same algorithms as Freeverb3 ProG and Dragonfly Room. It gives you independent control over the early and late parameters, instead of combining them into the same controls like I did with Dragonfly Room, so that's an advantage if you want that level of control.

Re: Hello all

Hey @FenderBaba, welcome! Tell me more about the trumpet. I play clarinet, I'm learning saxophone, and I can kind of play keys. I want to make some kind of jazz fusion and would love to collaborate with a brass player.

No offense taken, it was actually a good reminder that I need to finish working on HiDPI support for Dragonfly Reverb.

Oof, I totally drafted a message and then must have failed to send it... and here I thought YOU were ignoring ME for the last week.

Re: Saxperiment

The basis is sound, now I want more of that sound! :) Thanks Jeanette! I want to work on a bigger jazz production, but I feel like I need to take baby steps to get there. The clarinet and saxophone tracks were live recorded, while the bass and percussion are sfz samples, so that might explain why t...

Saxperiment

I'm learning to play an alto saxophone. This was a very brief experiment to try arranging a three-part jazz harmony and then record it one part at a time.

Re: What are the Aasimonster Drum sizes?

I don't know about the sizes in Aasimonster, but you can create more toms (and possibly cymbals) by tuning the existing samples, instead of looking for more samples. That way you'll have all of the same mic positions and such.

Running linuxsampler as a plugin is kind of trouble, you might have better luck with sfizz if you're wanting to use SFZ-format instruments.
