Re: Calf Studio Gear 0.90.0

Re: Plug in Essential Harrison Mixbus don't wiev in ardour 5.12 list

In my Ardour's Preferences -> Plugins, the only search path editing option there is under -> VST. The Essentials pack are lv2s. I copied from their Mixbus resting place over to the ~Home .lv2 directory and all has been in well both Mixbus and Ardour land.

Re: lend me your ears

hi jonetsu Your input and suggestions are noted, added to the growing check list and greatly appreciated, thanks much. The avl drums are pretty flexible and well worth a try. As i said above, i'd done nothing to vary velocities of pieces within the kit on this particular pass, but it's something (am...

Re: lend me your ears

singforme and others Thanks and good call. I'll write more about that in a while. I just got hit with the tooth ache from hell, so can't really think or formulate my thoughts properly at present, but that's just what i was looking for. I got seduced by the sounds and started losing objectivity. And ...

lend me your ears

Howdy, I recently posted a track in hopes of getting some feeback on the mix. I'm now starting to feel comfortable navigating my way in and around Ardour, have settled on a handful of goto plugins and have established a minor work flow with an eye toward building better templates. At this point in m...

Re: new Saturator (LV2) plugin

This is a relative new feature in LV2, so most Host's wont support it for now. Unfortunately I cant see the images you've posted, so I don't know which host you talk about. As far I know, for now, only the latest ardour from git support this. Other host's will just see it as "a controller"...

Re: new Saturator (LV2) plugin

I just noticed something a little funny in the guis with the power switches.* In that what seems to be being 'in bypass' enabled mode by the color indicators, it's actually in enabled mode, but not reflected as such in the channel strip. It displays there as being in, off/bypass mode. The attached i...

Re: Good bass sound from DI

I have a C* pack off plugin's by Tim Goetz installed, but can't find C* noisegate.
Where can i find this C* noisegate? Or is it a build in feature in other plugin's?

A quick search in Ardour's plugin manager pulled it up on this end.

Re: new (LV2) Analogue Bass Pre Amp Simulation

I notice that as well, and that's why I ask gimmeapill to remove this one from the arch package script and mark it as not ready.

Oooops. Totally missed it.

Have a great weekend! :D

Re: new (LV2) Analogue Bass Pre Amp Simulation

I noticed this a while back, but wanted to be able to reproduce it 1st and have. What happens is this, if i raise the mid and/or treble beyond their default values, over time in the session, noise will begin to build, persist and can't be controlled. Should this be a normal by product of that action...

Re: new (LV2) GxToneMachine.lv2

So, I've solved that for the ToneMachine, the others will follow soon. However, just a note about GTK, if you are using a nightly build from ardour.org, you'll properly out of luck with this plugs, as, this will lead to a GTK version mismatch. When you use Ardour from your distribution, or build by...

Re: new (LV2) GxToneMachine.lv2

Howdy, A quick note that there may be a bug. I gave two of the plugins with the gui(s) a try. Saturator in Ardour 5.3, then the ToneMachine (here) just recently in Ardour 5.5, both crashed respectively upon load into Ardour. Though the Saturator did load with gui then promptly crashed A5.3. Didn't g...
