Ability to create a sonic universe

Just a thought. From a practical point of view, playing a CD could mean adjusting the volume. If not bass and treble. This means that there is a capability to create a sound atmosphere for a whole CD since all tracks would be mastered the same. With all this online stuff and buying single songs. one...

After 47 years of existence, a film is made

Howdy, (I thought of making a new topic with a more accurate subject line) After 47 years of existence a documentary film about my favorite band, Magma, is made. The crowd-funded project is on its way to the final audio mixes and they have just released a second trailer: https://youtu.be/A10BboLb6GQ...

To make it simple, a (less than) 2-minute video demonstration of the principle:

Re: SoftTrump

Thanks !

There's so much more that can be done, so many ways parts can be arranged. It's a wonder how it finally materializes in one form.

Re: Collage-1

Influence of music on a chemical compound of blood... :) Interesting track! Not certain what you refer to but, yes it seems that there is a wave interaction with matter. Steve Jobs would have liked to have a portable device that would play sounds to heal oneself at the biological level. How could t...

SoftTrump

The title for this one is from one of the presets included in the new u-he Repro-1 synth. There is no political statement but if you insist... there might be a general statement about the blah-blah talk with the piece ending appropriately with an ACE synth sound called 'In the Oubliette', in the dun...

Re: NEW SITE: Makam Music – Beauty and Diversity (with audio collection)

I have liked the music of Makam group very much. It's creative and inspiring. You said they use regularly tuned instruments. But their instruments are able to be adjusted to microtonality. I just can't tell by ear if they do it because I don't have perfect pitch. I have based my observation mostly ...

Re: NEW SITE: Makam Music – Beauty and Diversity (with audio collection)

Hello, This is interesting and comes at a time when I barely just start to look into microtunings (using for instance u-he's ACE synthesizer on Linux). I will take a listen to some of your pieces. Meanwhile, you might be interested by Makám, a Hungarian band that plays along the same lines although ...

Robo c'est la vie

Howdy,

This one is a synth-based kind of techno piece with a 'robotic' riff.

Re: Collage-1

Thanks !

I need distance to clean the ears. There is so much involvement when creating things. So all comments helps in that way, along with time not listening to the piece. Thanks for the comment on the snare sound !

Cheers.
