Re: No GUI for ZynAddSubFX

just notice something. In original post you said you placed zyn in ~/.vst , but you did ldd command in /usr/lib/vst ? No it's in /usr/lib/vs as I intalled it from the official Ubuntustudio repository. I tried also zynfusion in ~/.vst, but it also didn't work. I think it's also not possible to use b...

Re: No GUI for ZynAddSubFX

Yes, I tried several DAWs and in no one I get the GUI. Also when I excute Reaper from the Terminal there's no error message.

Re: No GUI for ZynAddSubFX

Hi, I executed the command in /usr/lib/vst and this is what I get: ldd ZynAddSubFX.so linux-vdso.so.1 (0x00007ffeecde0000) liblo.so.7 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/liblo.so.7 (0x00007f1a9450b000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0 (0x00007f1a944e8000) libz.so.1 => /lib/x86_64-linux-...

No GUI for ZynAddSubFX

After a complete system crash last week, I switched over from Debian to Ubuntu Studio and I almost have everything running again. As officially it's not advised to install the KXStudio repos ontop of UbuntuStudio I donwloaded some plugins by hand and copied them into ~/.vst ZynAddSubFX comes with Ub...

Re: Ableton Live in Linux?

I think it runs via Wine, but personally I would use Bitwig.

All right. Then if you wish to start something, just do it and let me know, perhaps in the Virtual Music Projects section.

Re: La Nouvelle Avantgarde (New Wave)

I meant that one: https://soundcloud.com/typeamusic/amigos-mutantes-type-a I will finish this and then I can start with something. I also want to make another collab with Type-A. But as I'm in vacation I should have "plenty" of time. At least in theory. 8) BTW I'm using Bitwig 3.2.6 without any sign...

Re: La Nouvelle Avantgarde (New Wave)

This one has a wholesomeness in the mix. Everything seems to be well balanced, the bass is all right, reverb just in the right amounts, panning is nice. It almost sounds like a full-fledged track (eg. not a demo), if it wasn't for the lead synth that seems to be just a tad out of the ensemble. By n...

Re: Why two rtirq entries?

I still don't get it. It seems imo that only one of the two entries belongs to my audio interface. So there's another process running with RT priority which would be bad. On the other hand I 've seen similar outputs from other people.

Re: Zynspiration

I like this also, especially the beginning with the organ sound, which reminds me on Anna von Hausswolff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbP--RsNj70 Mixwise I think there iis some room for improvement. Generally it sounds a bit muddy and dense on my setup. Cutting low frequencies for all instrument...

Re: Why two rtirq entries?

I have the RT kernel booted with the CONFIG_IRQ_FORCED_THREADING=y boot option (I was too lazy to delete it). I don't have any obvious problems with this. Here's the output of lsusb marco@marco:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/rtirq status [sudo] password for marco: PID CLS RTPRIO NI PRI %CPU STAT COMMAND 161 FF...
