Re: ubuntu 16.04

Sorry for the late reply. This was my issue as well - I was using QAPT package installer to install the gcc5 package. It lied and called it successful. I use dpkg a lot more now. :) I don't think there's any shame here. I'm not exactly a noob - I administer RHEL servers for a living. And I still got...

Re: ubuntu 16.04

Think I found it. I was using QApt Package Installer to install the gcc5 package. Went back to look, and found it wasn't actually installed. Used dpkg directly to try to install again, and found I needed to pre-install libglibmm-2.4-1v5. Once that was done, the gcc5 package successfully installed. I...

Done Package libglibmm-2.4-1c2a is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the pac...

Re: ubuntu 16.04

Very strange. I'm going to reapply my 16.04 image and check things out again. Re: ubuntu 16.04

The menu thing really isn't that important, just thought I'd mention. Another user, warkus, reported the failure to install guitarix from the kxstudio repos, with the same dependency failure. I do see the same behaviour, and the gcc5 repo is definitely installed, system updated, dist-upgrade... all ...

Re: ubuntu 16.04

I realize you're probably up to your face in assessing the scope of this (thanks again), but there's one more little one.

kxstudio-menu doesn't do anything. Haven't figured out why yet.

Re: ubuntu 16.04

Confirmed. Here's the broken dependency chain... kxstudio-meta-all fails because kxstudio-meta-audio-plugins can't be installed. kxstudio-meta-audio-plugins fails because guitarix, amsynth, gigedit etc. can't be installed. guitarix (for example) fails on the following.. libatkmm-1.6-1 (>= 2.22.1) bu...
