Re: Help about the most recommended Linux distribution and LMMS

I would say that for using LMMS distro or even operating system does not matter. It works everywhere.

Re: Elec Guitar recording, how 2 effects??

Guitar output -> split the signal in 2 with a buffer -> here we now have identical 2 signals: 1 and 2. Connect 1 to the analog chain which terminates with the amp, mic the amp, connect the mic to one input of the soundcard. Connect 2 to another input of the soundcard, without any additional process...

Re: Elec Guitar recording, how 2 effects??

I'd like to record this way. Any suggestions for low-budget signal splitters? I don't even know what such device would be called. Being a lazy guy, I used my micropog as a splitter: I have spare Digitech RP-50, which has stereo output. Maybe I should try how badly it spoils sound. In the case I nee...

Re: Harrison Mixbus offers

I had conspiration theory: they are selling for cheap because they are planning new release! But no, it looks like plugin licenses are not bind to version, so no risk on investing to them: http://mixbus.harrisonconsoles.com/foru ... 35260.html

Re: Harrison Mixbus offers

Ok, now they are serious on their offers: mixbus, mixbus 32c, xt-mc, xt-lc, xt-ds for low price. And free xt-eq!

Re: Harrison Mixbus offers

In fact I use it mostly for mixing, for example on distorted guitars and drum busses, you can control the sub-mids and lows so that fast palm-muted guitars or fast double-kick drums can get clearer using a slow attack. Also the XT-MC lacks per-band makeup, which is a no-go for me. Despite having on...

Re: Harrison Mixbus offers

Now there would be discount (9.81$) on XT-MC (Multi-band compressor), considering if getting it. But not sure if I ever will need it? If I take care of compression (mostly) before final mastering, is multi-band compression really needed? Sure, marketing video looks and sounds great https://www.youtu...

Re: Zoom Multistomp 50G / 60B / 70CDR patch editor

If you have a Multistomp, you probably find that editing patches on a computer is much better than bending down over the pedalboard. https://g200kg.github.io/zoom-ms-utility/ Editing settings over the web browser with MIDI. Chrome on Debian Buster works on my MS 70 CDR Is that 70 CDR usb port midi?...

Re: Harrison Mixbus offers

Sorry, I should have been more accurate. The output on the bus is set to whatever pan information the original audio file has, so if it was recorded in dead centre then the bus will play it like that regardless of what panning you have set on the audio file's track. Ok, then it doesn't sound too ba...

Re: Harrison Mixbus offers

I can't mix with it, it's needlessly crippled. Creating your own aux track means that that aux can only play in mono because the send on the track is pre pan. That kills it for me, no sub or stereo pair groups, mono fx sends. Is that send mono, so that if I have seriously different L+R channels, ar...

Re: Harrison Mixbus offers

Regular Mixbus does NOT provide 32C emulation. That's the whole point. I would say you have mistaken. http://harrisonconsoles.com/site/mixbus32c-info.html What is the difference between Mixbus and Mixbus32C? Mixbus and Mixbus32C have identical features, except that the 32C mixer strip has more feat...
