Re: do I miss anything if I just use jack but not using pulseaudio?

But if You run jackd daemon then it may occupy soundcard so other apps couldn't use it. But recent pulseaudio (if You use it) can deal with it automatically. So that means, if I only have jack and no pulseaudio, I cannot, uh, say listen to music and play steam games at the same time? It is possible...

Re: Extend window over two workspaces?

In fvwm, virtual desktop can be larger than screen, so there you could have Ardour window bigger than screen size. http://www.fvwm.org/documentation/manpages/fvwm.html#lbBW So you could define your desktop size to be for example 3x width of your screen, and then define keyboard shortcuts to select w...

For qmidiroute 2 ports is default, but there is command line option to select number of ports.

Re: A free Harrison plugin. And it's good.

Is it any different from old mastering eq plugin they have? The interface is slightly different but the main thing is they have added a visual display of the frequencies. EDIT: AVA Plugins are also vst and much more cross platform than previous lv2 versions Display of freq's sounds great, I've been...

Ok, he has right to do so, but I would consider that pretty nasty thing to do. I understand that he doesn't want to write anything new here anymore, but removing old posts!

Looking closer, it looks like falktx' account has been hacked: it was renamed to "___" and all its posts removed. I have disabled the account now. I'll see if I can recover anything from backups, but I fear I won't be able to restore things because the forum has been running (and thus div...

Re: VST3 support in Linux?

Native Reaper in Linux support VST3, you can check this with U-he, Surge or recent Auburn plugins Could you please elaborate on how you do that? I use Native Reaper, and recently tried to use Izotope RX 7 Decrackler. I didn't know about the version 2-3 divide, so I tried to run it through LinVST as...

Re: Ableton Live registration under Wine?

Yeah, normal ableton registration works ok.

I have license for 8 lite, and I was able to get it working under wine in my computer, but in another computer with same Ubuntu 18.04, it was working partially. But then son lost interest to making music, so that Ableton was not needed at all.

Re: Страна Идиотов — Панк-рок инвалид (russian language punk rock)

Seems that I should tell about each song a little. So… No problem. In overall, I'd say that this is more pop punk than traditional stuff. And here's why: First song, with a name freely translated kinda like “Facebooked” or “Instagramed”, is a farewell speech to a girlfriend who's additcted to socia...

Re: Страна Идиотов — Панк-рок инвалид (russian language punk rock)

Finally, after a really long musical journey, I found some time and resources to actually release an album with my current punk rock band. It was a pretty hard experience, because everything was arranged, recorded, mixed, and mastered in a very short time span. ... Check out the album on Bandcamp H...

The fact that I can't play guitar is of no consequence.

Get Line6 Varix, so that it covers all guitars, instead of getting few (dozen) guitars.
