Re: Cadence: How to use monitor outuputs? Send the audio to monitors only
I've found the way how to do it! I post it just in case if someone has the same needs... There is a useful command line tool called alsa_in and alsa_out with it one can use any attached device as a jack-unit. So I use my external card as a source of high quality audio (for audience) and I use my lap...

Cadence: How to use monitor outuputs? Send the audio to monitors only
Hi! I'm using Focusrite 2x2 audiocard. It has two outputs and one stereo output for monitoring. I'd like to be able to send the metronome click to monitoring output. So that the audience can hear only the output of the music in the playback on the speakers but I (armed with headphones) can also hear...

Re: Problems with starting Scarlett 2i2 with cadence
I've upgraded the kernel from 3.13 to 4.5. And know it works! Hurray! But I can not hear the audio in the browser :( Maybe it was answered somewhere else.. Though local wav files playback works and synthesizers can produce the sound. So cool! I can run my Csound synthesizers with 96Khz in real-time....

Problems with starting Scarlett 2i2 with cadence
I'm trying to connect the Scarlett 2i2 sound card to my lap top that runs Ubuntu 14.04 with KXstudio. I've tried many parameters in Cadence but it fails to start the Jack. It shows the message. Could not start Jack! Here is the link to screen shot of the settings: http://ge.tt/2OH04ed2 I've read ano...

Re: Help! Cadence does not lists ALSA in Driver tab
on Uefi? Yes I think so.
So the problem would go away if I connect to the network before installing?
I just like to know for the future trials. Know I have a working system again
thanks for your answer. But just in case I need to reinstall it later

Re: Help! Cadence does not lists ALSA in Driver tab
That was it! Thank you so much. :) :) :) :) :) :) I wish I new the answer a week before. I've reinstalled system kind of couple dozens of times. It can be hard to tune the distro for audio without breaking it. By the way have you ever encountered a problem of installing KXStudio or Ubuntu St...

Help! Cadence does not lists ALSA in Driver tab
I've messed up with libjack. I've installed jackd2 componets compiled from sources to /usr/lib (Please never, never, never do this again!) instead of more safer /usr/local/lib. It was wrong for m e to do so. Codence is not working properly anymore. Cadence doesn't lists any Drivers in the Configure-...
