Re: New LA Wiki web software? Better than dokuwiki?

* https://kubedex.com/resource/dokuwiki * https://github.com/splitbrain/dokuwiki - active development * file not DB backed. easier to backup. * interesting plugins File backed, so updating the shotgun way as was suggested to me on #dokuwiki IRC is way easier. Hmm, might as well stick with it? It sup...

New LA Wiki web software? Better than dokuwiki?

So as it stands, the LA wiki needs a lot of sysadmin time to get it back up to date. Anyone with broad-ish wiki experience; would sticking with dokuwiki still worth it? What is the main advantage of dokuwiki in the first place? I mean, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but in this case it is (current...

Re: Deleted Thread?

That narrative connects some dots, thank you. It would be good to revive a "central" knowledge management system of a non-forum sort for Linux audio content, and, as it stands, the LA wiki appears the primary choice for this task. Who is in control of the LA server? Who has just wiki access and what...

Re: Deleted Thread?

Righty o. I would say refering to it as the LM wiki when that title isn't used anywhere else is rather confusing. That wiki has had registration problems for several months now. No-one was able to create an account or login via OpenID since the hack of the LA site. Testing it again and the registrat...

Re: Deleted Thread?

like tears in the rain, and entirely foreseeable. well, at least the potential for someone to delete all their posts. forums aren't good systems for knowledge management given their user focused and temporal format.

I think they were in #lad not too long ago. 22nd Sep. <paulfd> hi all <paulfd> I have been reading this thread: https://discourse.ardour.org/t/not-jack-audio-interface/89043 <paulfd> Paul Davis comments: " I ceased my involvement with JACK over a year ago, and have actively worked to encourage Ardou...

<@falktx> raboof: just saw a discussion on LM. I purposefully deleted my messages. I was looking for a way to delete my account, but could not find one, so I went with the closest thing to it
<@falktx> please do not bother creating an account for me there, I won't use it

Re: Building samplecat-git from AUR

There is a fair chance that the state of samplecat is broken as it stands on GH as the developer has previously pushed in a state that doesn't build. The last time I reported such an error, I also suggested they set up CI so it is known quicker that this is the case, but I guess they have had other ...

LV2 wiki on GH - wanted: articles, guides, tools for devs

https://github.com/drobilla/lv2/wiki Given the complaint from some that content on LV2 development is lacking, and the complaint from others that there is a fair amount of information out there already, I've started the above to assist in collating references that can help in on-boarding new develop...

Re: Carla on ARM

falktx has at least mentioned in passing an interest in using binfmt_misc to run plugins cross-platform. i guess the binfmt_misc method could be used independently by anyone though.
