Re: Akai MPD218 - 6 knobs for all plugin/track parameters
Afaiu, software can deal with this by having a 'catch-up' or whatever it's called mode, where, if the value coming from the knob is suddenly nowhere near the prior value, the actual value "output" doesn't change until the new value coming in matches the prior value, at which point the new ...

So many new plugins to become available that aren't beholden to Steinberg's crewl and unusual and non-libre licensing terms!
However, it doesn't support CV ports yet....

Re: Announcing the Unofficial Pro-Audio Arch Package Repository (Beta Phase)
Fwiw https://libreav.org aggregates releases and provides a public list/feed, with a bot in #libreav. I'm slowly adding items of software that have release feeds. Though nvchecker is specifically made for packagers and smarter.

There's ##music-electronics on libera.chat.
I thought capacitors limited signals closer to DC, i.e. low frequencies, but I'm often wrong in life!
This seems like a good video on the topic, I'll watch it fully soon https://youtu.be/l-u8J-yh9ZA

Re: Announcing the Unofficial Pro-Audio Arch Package Repository (Beta Phase)
There is more sense in having a user repository with binary packages than creating -bin entries in the AUR. This is the way it has been done for probably more than a decade. It's just like adding a PPA on .deb systems. Here is the wiki page about it https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/unofficial_user_r...

Re: Carla BPM tempo change via Midi CC or OSC?
Changing the Carla tempo via JACK Transport by using MIDI; couple of possible things at least https://toxic.cubicarea.it/#jack-director https://www.teuton.org/~gabriel/InConcert
Edit: or use a JACK Transport master of, say, seq66, which itself has MIDI automation for both course and fine BPM changes

Looks like JACK is an old version. KX Extras repo for an up-to-date JACK package.
