Re: Multichannel patching in Catia/Carla

I don't think multichannel patching is fully a thing in Carla yet. There is a more basic feature though; Try right clicking on a client and selecting the destination client to connect to in the submenu there.

Re: JJazzLab, new free software to make backing tracks in a few minutes

@milk could be the man for putting a PKGBUILD together. ;) Heh, I'm one of those non-binary folk, but I'd be interested in helping with making a soundfont available in the AUR. I created the soundfonts-aur-meta package to install all the available soundfonts in the AUR. Problem is though that Googl...

Re: Exhastive List of Free Native Linux Plugins

It's open registration atm. I would prefer external auth systems but the OpenID plugin for MediaWiki has been broken for a few months, but anyone should be able to create a MW account though I loath that UX speedbump, and I haven't had time/interest to check out any MW OpenID Connect plugins for OAu...

Re: Automated Arch/pacman binary packages of AUR entries

dragonfly(I think there's a reverb and a room version) on Arch official repos, they only have the lv2 versions so Reaper, Bitwig, Renoise and whatever vst only DAW can't use so that would be a bonus to add to your repo the git version The dragonfly-reverb package includes usr/lib/vst/DragonflyHallR...

Re: Sequencing and recording of JACK/LV2 CV?

<milkii> is there an existing "recording of a CV stream" file format already? despite my interest in CV, I've only just thought about that whilst looking at what Audio File in Carla supports. <@falktx> well, cv capture would just be an audio file in a specific format. 32bit float wav file <milkii> ...

Re: LV2 wiki on GH - plugins, articles, guides, tools for devs

Are there any LV2 plugins missing from https://github.com/drobilla/lv2/wiki now? Any mistakes I've made? Ta.

Re: ableton

it doesn't support lv2, it requires exclusive access to the midi controller (even if there is a workaround ), etc I guess one could load LV2 plugins in Carla-as-a-VST. (I wonder about a future possibility of passing "CV" in/out Carla from/to the Bitwig environment). It would be great to see Bitwig ...

Re: ableton

What level of performance has ableton live? Classic DAWs have a linear arrangement of audio and MIDI (MIDI essentially being a notation language to trigger hardware and software instruments and effects, discrete messages to turn a note on, turn a note off, change parameters, etc) data. The differen...

Re: ableton

According to some, there are DAWs and there are Live-like environments. The only Live-like environment for Linux currently is Bitwig, and that is closed source and costs. Zrythm is aiming to be something like that eventually (though possibly more for production than performance (though I don't think...

Re: Automated Arch/pacman binary packages of AUR entries

I suspect it's an easy fix, but I'm meant to be busy today ;) muse-git fails with: ==> Starting build()... -- The C compiler identification is GNU 9.2.0 -- The CXX compiler identification is GNU 9.2.0 -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/sbin/cc -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/sbin/cc -- work...

Re: Automated Arch/pacman binary packages of AUR entries

I've added both. Also, the build has failed three times with three of the -git vcv modules, a nanovg path issue in the PKGBUILD I think. To note there's an issue currently with the repo: carla-git cannot be installed because with Arch package files names allow colons and Github Releases does not all...
