I initiated the wiki on GitHub for mididings. If anyone has a script or related link that could be added, please feel free to do so :)

Re: A tool to help overcoming producer's block

i have my shell give a fortune everytime i open a terminal. i didn't check for oblique strategies before, seems there's two about. if anyone is on Arch, there's fortune-mod-oblique-strategies in the AUR. there seems to be a larger version but fortune gives an error "fortune: no fortune found&qu...

Re: archaudio.org --what's up?

there's news from IRC (and mailing lists, not that I subscribe) with a separate initiative; TU dvzrv is looking to get some packages from AUR into community, with a new IRC channel, #archlinux-proaudio (plus there's a small number of users who are sometimes about in #archaudio). edit: dvzrv posted i...

Re: Helio Workstation

I put together a PKGBUILD for Arch Linux users. (stick it in an empty directory and run "makepkg -si". -s for deps, -i to install after building the package). edit: if anyone can advise on which runtime dependencies should only be in the compile time dependencies, I'll fix that. edit2: it'...

Re: which song is coming out of your speakers right now?

The Flashbulb - Piety Of Ashes third time in 24 hours. dream braindance with exquisite composition, progression, rhythms and production. i always thought their music was AFX meets Squarepusher, but later stuff touches on themes that remind me of Ulrich Schnauss and Hidden Orchestra emotional lushne...

Re: Any recent DAW comparisons?

thanks greatly to all for the contributions and comments to/on the comparison matrix . @falkTX; good point. i'm gonna keep the Windows VST row for now though and update it to reflect the method of bridging, just in case the comparison ends up helping, though i was thinking i'd get to a point where i...

BespokeSynth - modular softsynth/graphical programming env./DAW - Linux build?

An openFrameworks / Juce based project. Looks amazing though Mac focused at the moment. Can anyone advise if this could be built for Linux?

Re: A wee collection of Audio links etc.

Bump. The article has been updated a fair bit since my last post.

I'm still on the quest for a midi controlled live midi sequencer/looper. I'm wondering how to build Multi-Arp.

Re: Make "Active Topics" available in "Quick links" for unlogged in users

42low - i called your response to the second quote trollish because it used forms of rhetoric that could be said to match the behaviour of those who are actively trolls. i mindfully did not call you a troll because that wouldn't have helped either you or anyone else. i stopped there because i try to...

Re: Make "Active Topics" available in "Quick links" for unlogged in users

People who don't want to post just won't register. Having a degraded performance for the reason of getting people to register would I think behaviourally be classed as 'positive punishment', and IMO against the nature of open culture. Still, economically, if there's value added of 'Active Topics' be...
