Re: 24/192 Music Downloads ...and why they make no sense

Better quality source signal for DSP so folks can make neat spectral remixes/mashups/booties/bastard pop/chopped and screwed/whatever? Better sounding Paulstretch! But yeah, 24/192 music downloads make no sense.. when there exists DSD !! What would interest me more though is some form of multichanne...

Re: Patroneo pattern sequencer

Not my invention, tis by nilshi, seen by me in the LAC 2018 Lightning Talks video. Turns out they were in #archlinux-proaudio and happened so say hey to me just as I was about to PKGBUILD it (their YouTube username gave them away). I only wasn't doing it right at that moment, as, in the video, they ...

Re: Moonchild23

imho, it's like half way between ebm (e.g. Nitzer Ebb) and electro-industrial (e.g. Frontline Assembly), aka "elektro". the instrumentation feels more like the former and the rhythm feels more like the latter. (re semantic fields; in the UK at least, "EBM" can used these days as ...

Re: Live Keyboard rig - Carla and Jack_Mixer

Hah, yes, same problem here. Luckily it appears to be fixable with a copy paste hack. File in question is channel.py (in /usr/share/jack_mixer ) The input and output channel classes have methods to realise/instantiate the settings. Only the output realize method is missing the lines that set the mid...

Re: Live Keyboard rig - Carla and Jack_Mixer

I could troubleshoot the error it throws up. Possibly the package is available in another repository. Actually, looking at https://wiki.debian.org/DebianMultimedia/Policy#session_handling_.28LASH.29 "LASH is deprecated as well as ladcca, please use ladish. liblash-compat-dev provides a dummy su...
